Drones aren't very maneuverable yet, and they can be easily shot down. They're only good for reconaissance and striking targets on the ground, but not so much at air superiority

Much faster, doesn't necessarily need satellites for navigation, more maneuverable, can carry far more weapons, can stay in the air for far longer, can defend itself from airborne threats such as drones and other fighter jets.

Many technical obstacles remain. There is significant latency in communications, especially if it uses satellite. Non-satellite less but range becomes a problem and to make it worst the longer the distance the easier to jam the signal. Also, putting all your eggs into such systems can turn into a nightmare because the enemy can "hack" the whole thing and take control of the drone.
Also very important is that so far nothing beats the human eye.
