Lol, no. Just because fiat is powered only by belief doesn't make it schizo. Society itself is only powered by a belief that other people are going obey the same way you will. Schizo is when you start unraveling the fabric of culture in your mind. You can no longer operate within the shared belief, and you begin to develop delusions, which are of the same nature often as the common belief, except they are not shared. Crypto's not going to happen.

i don't think that my disillusionment of fiat is based on delusion, to be quite honest my family. i only became disillusioned when i started researching what fiat is and how it works and its history.

But Gold was abandoned, because its value stopped being very reliable. New Gold discoveries, or major transactions by foreign nations could upend the economy. A fiat currency can be printed at a varying rate based on the needs of an economy, and due to the trust in government, is equally incorruptable in the eyes of the public. Crypto's volatility is even worse than Gold, making it an absolutely atrocious currency. Worse, it can only be valued in other currencies. To make it easy enough to spend like cash on all goods would open it up to such security risks, that it would not longer be a valuable currency. All currencies are Fiat, and Cryptos are worse than ornamental beads.
