When Spain entered the EU, it was the 10 economic power and in terms of industry, with almost no unemployment, great public services, a market socialist economy and only indirect taxations.
When we entered we dismantled our industry, we sold it to foreigners, raised the taxes until becoming this country a fiscal hell and prepared ourselves for the EU's rule.
Native Spaniards live under precarious conditions, our education is a mafia for people with connections that doesn't mark a difference in the labor market (it doesn't matter if you are an economist or a simple worker to get a job) and the only jobs there are as waiter and that sort of things (and our wages are like 400 euros more and less).
Our economy is focused in tourism from the rest of the EU.

The EU would not allow us to industrialize this country again, basically because we serve this role in europe now (this role and also we provide agricultural products through devastating our land without labor but machinery, we export everything produced here to europe and import products from other parts of the world, including third world countries like Morocco) So basically the end of the EU means the destruction of our country because of the trade barriers and the end of tourism.
Industrialization in this country was historically a failure and the only one that industrialized Spain was Franco. Now he is dead and our current goverment and parties have a kind of aversion to public industry (wich is one of the only ways for this country to construct the necessary amount of industrial power to end the unemployment problem)
So, the only way to recover is a civil war and then an authoritarian dictatorship with the determination to rebuild this country
