Monsanto is a multinational (once again, no loyalty) chemical company. Their largest source of income is agribusiness. Most of the chemicals that get sprayed on the foods you eat? They make them.

Both companies have a history of being evil, such as knowingly poisoning an area, and then buying off the third-world gov't to prevent any legal repercussions. Basically this means that there will be even more hormone-fucking chemicals in our food and water supplies, and Bayer will have just the right pill to "fix" it.
