You must count that today's russia is a "modern" and economically advanced country because of Stalin's industrialization and modernization of Russia.
Without that, Russia today will be an undeveloped country in the style of Cambodia or Morocco.

The problem with commies is basically dialectic and historic materialism (wich gives birth to the "nature transformation", to the killing of pidgeons, to lysenkoism, to wanting to transform a small caribbean island into an industrial powerhouse competing with germans and thus leaving sugar plantations...) you can observe how planified economies, like fascist corporatism/syndicalism, natsoc German socialism ... without marxist foundations, give good outcomes

I just disagree with the idea that the commies were beneficial for Russia. The tsar had already taken big steps toward modernization before and during WWI. If anything the communists set Russia back. Because they always say tax the rich but when new socialist policies have gone into effect in my short adult life so far my taxes go up even though I make only a few thousand over the poverty line.
