He's still a token, just because he was put in that position at a very young age and actually dedicated himself to the craft (which is admirable) doesn't change that fact. At every stage of his career he has been held up as a token, and you know that he knows it as well.

That is irrelevant to his status as a diversity prop. Him being a classically trained guitarist is tokenism in itself, it doesn't mean he can't be highly skilled.

Italians have written a huge portion of all classical music, and invented jazz as well. Italy is arguably the capital for classical composition today
There's so many classical composers in Italy, many of them leave Italy and go to countries with less composers just so they stick out more. Some of them are even going down to the universities in Mexico to compose/teach just so they'll be noticed more easily.

Just means every race has exceptional outliers. However the issue is with the overall acceptance of averages and how they apply to our social structure. Affirmative action is based on the notion that blacks are discriminated against more heavily because of their race and not because of their academic merits. This is problematic because it is fundamentally incorrect in its assessment of reality and also because it promotes those of weaker ability into positions they havent earned. Primarily this affects asian and white students because of racial quotas that shouldn't exist. We should exist within a meritocracy, society is better for it when only the best are given the platforms and positions they earn. When we disregard statistics because they are offensive we mistakenly label everyone as equal and that is simply not the case. Another example is the statistic that blacks commit more violent crime, yet it is considered racially offensive for the police to have more apprehension when dealing with blacks.
