BIG DEFEAT FOR LEFTARDS

Supreme Court Says Texas Political Map Is Largely Not A Racial Gerrymander

>In a 5-4 decision, the U.S. Supreme Court said that Texas' legislative and congressional maps are not a racial gerrymander and that all districts are OK, except for one, which it determined is a racial gerrymander — House District 90.

>"Except with respect to one Texas House district, we hold that the court below erred in effectively enjoining the use of the districting maps adopted by the Legislature in 2013," Conservative Justice Samuel Alito wrote in the majority opinion

>In a one-page concurrence, joined by Neil Gorsuch, Clarence Thomas, one of the most conservative (in philosophy and use of words) justices, reiterated his view that Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act "does not apply to redistricting," per SCOTUSBlog.

Sotomayor and the rest of retards arent happy

>The Court today goes out of its way to permit the State of Texas to use maps that he three-judge District Court unanimously found were adopted for the purpose of preserving the racial discrimination that tainted its previous maps," she wrote.

Attached: 1528671257640.png (900x900, 67K)

You waited all this time to post that?

the move to forum-based shit is why it died. as soon as you introduce accounts, personalities, and shit like that, you invite leftist rot
i saw the same faggot/tranny takeover of a vidya site i used to be a part of. almost identical to what i'm seeing on SCP right now, decided that the site needed to start promoting the gay agenda and putting rainbow and fag shit all over it. the rot was there before and slow, but that was the most big apparent sign of the disease
i bet a lot of other anons here have seen the same in other spheres, i hear even /tg/ is witnessing some of it. i swear the left is going to push everyone into full "shove faggots off buildings" mode simply because they couldn't leave shit alone

My cow is not pretty, but it is pretty to me

It’s not Amazon that’s going to be scrambling to comply with the estimated 12,000 tax jurisdictions in the country.
Large online retailers like Amazon already have physical presence across much of the country.
It’s part of why they’ve been collecting sales tax nationwide since last year.
> Instead, it’s going to be smaller retailers that suffer the burden.
> Because small businesses do not employ armies of lawyers to maneuver through the morass of tax jurisdictions, tax compliance is a greater burden for them than large businesses.
> A 2014 study by the National Association of Manufacturers found that the cost of tax compliance per employee was more than 50 percent higher for businesses with fewer than 50 employees than it was for businesses in general.
> Making these small businesses comply with rules that previously only affected large retailers can only add to that burden.
The internet served as the great equalizer, allowing start-ups to reach customers and compete with established brick-and-mortar stores. Now sellers on independent platforms like Etsy and eBay will face a hard choice.
> They can spend countless hours learning how to comply with the tax laws of every state in the nation,
> or cough up cash to one of the companies — many of whom pushed for this decision, naturally — that offer to do it for them, for a fee.

It’s not like the Court didn’t recognize this as a problem when it wrote its decision. It just simply chose to ignore it. In the equivalent of a shrug emoji, the Supreme Court simply stated that maybe someday there would be software that made this kind of compliance easier for smaller retailers.

taxfoundation.org/supreme-court-decides-wayfair-online-sales-tax-case/

All eyes will now turn to Congress and the states.
Congress has been stymied between alternate versions of federal solutions:
> the Remote Transactions Parity Act (RTPA)
> or Marketplace Fairness Act (MFA), which lets states collect if they agree to simplify their sales taxes, and a proposal from retiring Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-VA) that would make the sales tax a business obligation rather than a consumer obligation, and have it collected based on the tax rate where the company is located but send the revenue to the jurisdiction where the customer is located.
RTPA and MFA are more workable and more likely to pass, but Goodlatte controls what makes it to the House floor, so nothing has happened. Maybe today’s decision will change that.

In the states, a reminder, 31 states currently have laws taxing internet sales.
Today’s decision will certainly change how states look at these laws but we may see states trying to see if their versions could survive even if they are less simplified and direct than South Dakota’s law. This ruling is not a blank check for states.
> The Court specifically observed that South Dakota’s law, and its tax laws generally, minimizes the burden on interstate commerce.
> Other states should craft their laws accordingly.

> Bezos shill just spamming the same blog thread after thread

Making Amazon pay the same taxes as every other business has to charge is fair. If you have a problem with sales tax, get rid of it. Don't just demand every one else have to charge more than you.

During the 8 years of Obama I do not recall any of this happening by Republicans to Obama officials. Am I wrong

No, they just separate children from their parents's wombs.

>>Making Amazon pay the same taxes
It's not the Bezos Amazon that's gonna pay, they're paying already; it's the 'brick and mortar' versions of Internet stores who use Amazon as a front that have to cough up dough.

You would have known this, had you read anything.

There are more civilian-owned guns in the US than there are people.

>The estimated rate of gun ownership around the world significantly varies, with 120.5 firearms for every 100 residents in the United States. Second on the list is Yemen, with 52.8 firearms per 100 residents, 39.1 in Montenegro, and 34.7 in Canada.
smallarmssurvey.org/fileadmin/docs/T-Briefing-Papers/SAS-BP-Civilian-Firearms-Numbers.pdf

Out of the 1 billion firearms worldwide, 133 million weapons were held by government military forces and 22.7 million by police agencies.

Errr, no sweetie. If you process a transaction you can easily add the required sales tax. This isn't going to be some massive big deal to implement.

The chamber of commerce was a mistake.

His turning down the AG job might be the greatest loss our nation has ever suffered. Rudy could've exposed the pizza posting FBI and cleaned out all the glows before the first term was over.

That writer looks ugly

that's what they did where i was too. had a tranny and a faggot work their way up to the leadership, and then one day they decided to go crazy, banning long-time users for incredibly benign things (one in particular was when a well-known guy used 'autist' as an insult). it's how they work.
the non-fag leadership were betas that let it happen because they were afraid of being called offensive by the LGBTBBQ. leadership went down the tube and policy became insane
final straw for me was when they permabanned that guy above with no question, but thought that the guy literally spamming the site with phishing and porn links should be reasoned with before any action was taken.

WHERE ARE YOUR PAPERS

That won’t happen here r-right?

that’s different because obama wasn’t hitler!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Reminder that the current Jew York mayor is in trouble now for bringing in shitskin quotas to the NYPD to encourage diversity hires and discourages hiring from the wop community. You can expect the cesspool to return.

Good because small business latching onto Amazon reselling Chinese junk in the US is not what America needs.

So true.
