A McDonalds combo meal does cost over ten dollars here, and I live in one of the lower minimum wage provinces. Ontario and Quebec have already implemented minimum wages at or near $15/hr. It's sure to be a wild ride, but we're already on it and there's no turning back barring DOTR

I can't just go to a us college tick some classes and boom and I'm engineer. That's state approved. You actually get a diploma and it says that the king approves but he isn't signing them ofc. It state approved here. This means if you are a foreigner and want to work here, you have to get approval first just as a doctor. So you might need classes or you will be hired as a technician just like a doctor can only be hired as a nurse before getting approved. My brother is actually married to a serbian doctor, but she is still working as just a nurse
