Ha the exam about the Byzantine empire last week, I think it went pretty well. The questions were fair and gave us a lot of thinking space and flexibility in answering. After the exam I talked to him for like an hour about lots of other history from that time period and how the first Muslims used taxation in order to convert large population groups.
