He's obviously going to keep putting out content. But the reason I say "it's over" is because the conditions that made classic sam hyde possible no longer exist. Being part of a trio with nick and charles was probably crucial to something like 2070 Paradigm Shift; writing a long speech, getting a TedX spot booked, getting the warddrobe together, planning for things that could have gone wrong... it's not a one man job. Also it seems like classic sam had a certain zeitgeisty energy that can't last forever even in the best of times.

I think Sam is at a level where he’s made enough of a following where he can kind of coast and still be alright. That’s not to say that he isn’t working hard or that he’s making tons of money, but I think the fact that he’s not doing his old stunts of doing off the wall comedy bits masquerading as college talks and/or trying to put out highly produced videos is indicative of his comfortability. I remember even a few years ago how much support he had at HWNDU, all he did was show up and people fawned over his celebrity status.
I ran into Sam on Overwatch a short time after MDE got cancelled. I didn’t even know it was him at first because I commented on how his name was a reference to a Tim and Eric meme and then he launched into a tirade Against Tim Heidecker and how evil he was for ganging up on Sam. I didn’t even really know about Sam or MDE at the time but I put two and two together and realized it was him, and he admitted it. I only reference that story to say that basically the only thing he said after that was “don’t add me as a friend or anything” which tells me he’s achieved at least an entry level of stardom and doesn’t need to live like a starving artist.
He basically repeated everything he said on Tim’s podcast, iirc it was a few days before it happened. He told me to watch InfoWars and a few months later he started HydeWars.
