Everyone has invested in China on a massive scale. The problem is that the number one consumer of goods there is the Government. Sure, you can sell fancy clothes or something in Beijing, Shanghai and Chengdu, but out of the 1.2 billion people 1.1 live in mud huts. That's not how trade works. It's a complete oversimplification that doesn't even consider who's producing what and who wants what. If country A and B do 50% of trade with country C, and 25% of trade to each other, 25% to somewhere else entirely, they can't just cut out C start doing 150% back and forth.
