Rotten eggs. Air quality depends on where you're at. Where I'm at is fair. It's midway between Kona and Hilo (where the Cano is near). Kona gets really bad vog, and the smell is sulfur-y and rotten eggy. Also this . But the air quality is mostly dependent on the Trade Winds. Some places close (and east) of the cano have great air quality .
