Rented a Chinese suv in Uruguay last feb and it was comfy, leather seats, good ac, power, handled well in pavement and dirt.
Not a printed word on it anywhere, only pictograms and symbols.
Overall it was kind of between a Nissan and an Acura, could do well I think.
If ya don’t mind gettin chink’d.
For reference my last car was 4Runner I drove 200000 mi, next maybe BMW X5, land cruiser or Lexus suv

This car is either electric or has a gas tank in the front. Case 1: Might buy depending on price. Case 2: Definitely buy so that if I get in an accident, I'll immediately die in a fiery explosion and not have to deal with the insurance stuff

Don't be a silly fuck. I've personally met one of the engineers designing engines for a Chinese car producer and he was one of the few Chinese people that actually care about their jobs.
Chinese cars are fine and are almost as good as western car brands. That doesn't mean that they haven't copied designs from other car companies or that ALL chinese cars are good but most of them definitely are. There are about 50 different brands of cars in China so some of them are bound to be worse than the others, but they are mostly good. Also, China will always suffer from the reputation of creating cheap and bad products so when they make something that's good no one will care because they will automatically assume it's bad. Most Chinese people would pick a western brand over a Chinese brand.

You're right about the food. It will kill you in time, and so will the air. Some days you can taste the chemicals and in the air as you breath, and that's not an over-statement.

Americans bought the Yugo, a car manufactured in Yugoslavia. Doubt China will have a problem attracting buyers.
