How come development of advanced technology has stagnation outside of the IT department? Are we approaching a brick wall?

Ya. A mental brick wall, and it's name is Republicans

Same as with Rome. New technologies may not be profitable for current market holders.

Are you not paying attention to what SpaceX and The Boring Company are doing?

No, but what we have and what the public is allowed to know we have are two totally different things.

Does the shape of the universe allow technology to deliver omnipotent power? Is there a limit at some point to what is possible?

Maybe we became dumb due to overaccessability to technology. I mean we are constantly hooked to the internet, we are having the opportunity to get a lot of information for free etc. but because technology is taking away so much work from us, being automated and "overthought" by AI, we barely use our brains.
Everyone does only focus on technological advancement in terms of entertainment and better processing of new apps and programms. Yet something groundbraking, revolutionary or at least useful for our environment hasnt been developed.

The shit that they are doing is over 30 years behind where humanity should be right now. Both companies are just improvements on old tech.

Talented people go where the money is.

Technology is modular. We are in the computer age.

Its old inflexible companies who refuse to innovate. Just take one look at japan.

>Everyone does only focus on technological advancement in terms of entertainment and better processing of new apps and programms.

It’s because we have all these gay ass app-niggers getting paid by google and facebook $500K a year to make stupid dumbfuck apps that don’t provide and meaningful technology to humanity. App-niggers need to fucking die

Oh Trump also was the president 10 years ago? Damn missed that

the problem is that we live in a world that is reigned by the laws of physics and these things are viable
hyperloop isnt viable
mars colony isnt viable
using rockets as a transport isnt viable

and also, from the IT department
AI isnt viable

until there are major breakthroughs nothing really new will come

Because the dark times anti science conservashits are in power.

>implying president has power to do whatever he wants especially when it comes to the budget

Too many nonwhites and women.

This thread is AIDS. New medical breakthroughs every day and you don't hear about it from your American bubble where Christians frown on questionable experimentation have scientists hold a monopoly on (((research))). Outside of the US clones, human organ farming, and genetic manipulation are real things. Also

>outside of the IT department

Is this bait?

>AI isn't viable
You don't know what you're talking about. We use an AI at work to identify security events.

the fuck are you talking dude?

>Space X
>Hyperloop
>All kind of aumented reallity
>thinner and smarter screens
>FUCKING SPACE FORCE

We advancing every day. You may stop reading tumblir post and start paying attention to what the fuck is happening around you.

The meme of exponential tech growth was just that: a meme. We had a nice little spurt in the last 200 years due to white europeans running the planet and breaking through numerous fields. But all the developments that could be done by one guy in his spare time sort ofthing are pretty much gone now. Pushing science to the next level requires huge coordinate teams, that are well funded. That funding is being directed in non-optimal directions now, such as to maintain a society full of spic-nigs and creaturas. Additionally, it may still be happening, but behind closed doors. Perhaps the elite are now comfortable with this level of tech, and have stymied all chances at technology that could "disrupt" their power.

>blames Christians for lack of technology

The absolute state of brainlets

It's information technology you fucking dumb fuck.

Not enough war

No he doesn't. With recent advances in machine learning and the past decade of data mining AI is an inevitability. The advancement of AI from here on out is only projected to accelerate.

hyperloop is bunk

Okay, first I will admit I said stagnation when I should've said something akin to "is in a decline" or "slowing down"
SpaceX has done what, land a rocket on a barge? Sure is neat but not a breakthrough
Hyperloop is a bust
AR is IT, which I said is fine
Screens as in?
Space Force is nothing yet

>doesn't mention trump
>still gets assblasted about obama
RENT FREE

matching lines of code and protocols designed by hoomans is nothing new, it will be really hard for AI to become something other than that if not impossible

Mechanics-wise progress is slow
Chemistry and Medical fields are advancing quickly

Women
Affirmative action
Indians/Chinese
Political Correctness

Well dude, Obama directed NASA to do Muslim outreach instead of science. This thread complains why we don’t seem to have the same tech growth, that’s probably a reason why.

>development of advanced technology has stagnation outside of the IT department
dumb meme.
Non IT technology advances all the time, and IT has been stagnating for years.
Miniaturization and lower production costs isn't really an advancement, its just increase in efficiency.
You'd be hard pressed to find one modern IT marvel that wasn't already good to go by the mid 80's. Many of them were good to go in the 70's.

think of knowledge like a magic balloon you can inflate forever and the speed of the air pump is number of people working to expand our knowledge. the more people you have studying true knowledge faster the balloon expands but as the balloon gets bigger it takes more air to increase the size of the balloon a noticeable amount.

in recent history we had a lot of air rush into the balloon but the number of people trying to blow it up hasn't increased at a strong enough rate to keep that expansion rate up.

That's some low effort outrage imaging if I had ever seen it.
>Oh no they edited out the male in a picture about women
>Life is so unfair to us
Man children

>talented people go where the money is.

And the money is in finance, defense, software apps. We have always sucks at consumer product development because our best and brightest go where the money is and it is not there. Japan's brightest work at prestigious Toyota. America's brightest would be embarrassed to say they worked for Chrysler, GM or Ford.

This is one of the reasons anyways.

NASA spent 100 billion to capture a dust storm on mars what more could you ask for?

>matching lines of code
Stop it, you're embarrassing yourself. No wonder you have a meme flag. You don't even understand the fundamentals. I hate summer.

>spend more on military
DARPA is where advanced technology comes from retard.

It’s not intended to outrage Jow Forums, it’s intended for black people to sow division in the left.

No more technology the aliens realized that we'll just abuse it for greed and power again

Shame military technology sucks

judicialwatch.org/blog/2010/02/nasa-focus-muslim-outreach/

The next big things are gravity manipulation, viable nuclear fusion, and space/time manipulation.

They will occur in that order. AI will be necessary to operate the new tech, since the variables involved will change with different environments.

It doesn't suck at blowing up kids :)

most of the tech made before 2000s were 1940s war tech

we need another war

Unions, great way to make a $1b project cost $12b, and still fail, resulting in another $4b repair.

WTF is that thing? The position of that engine would incinerate every passenger. Is it a high tech, high speed gas chamber/incinerator.

It's Elon Musk's Hyper Holocauster, unfortunately it failed

>spend more on military

So, in your mental state, the US has zero military R&D ? Smart bombs just happen?

The stupid, it burns!

Hey fellow "balloon theorist"! Hadn't used or thought of this analogy in quite a while, but is a good one.

I like to liken knowledge or the general economy to that of a hot air balloon. The economy magic balloon rises by jets of knowledge, investment in better machines, increases in labor force competency, efficient infrastructures, etc. etc. However, there are always rips and tears in the fabric of the balloon that need to be tended to (maintained) but oftentimes can be overlooked or are disguised from view resulting in a loss of hot air. If these rips get large enough, the balloon will begin to descend regardless of the amount of additional hot air jetted into the bottom of it.

Many ways you can play with the hot air balloon analogy to describe economic and social systems in a way that others can better understand complex interactions.

Also Spacefags, what did he mean by this?

Attached: BK-uatwOOeA.jpg?itok=g95mIPZp.jpg (728x410, 38K)

Capitalist stagnation. More wealth tied up in fewer hands. You can bet your ass if the USSR adopted cybernetics and was still here we'd be colonzing Mars by now.

You mean like the internet and computers?

Computers/Robotics/Networking are like an entire universe of technologies. People will be discovering new uses within these existing technologies for the next 200 years.

Besides, product manufacturing on a large scale is no longer profitable unless there is a minimal amount of human labor hours put into it or really cheap slave labor. We are not seeing new goods because we cannot afford them. Flying car, been done a dozen times, but only the ultra rich could afford one. An economy model costs more than a Bugatti. Most people haven't even gone through the trouble of getting a pilots license and owning a plane. A plan can be had for the price of a new truck.

Women and niggers in science.

Muttification of the west

"fundamentals" lul

It's a good way to get cooler looking guns and planes I admit.
Just imagine
I know its hard for a brain like yours
but just imagine
spending money on R&D that doesn't involve weapons.
:O

>new alloys of steel, aluminum, and titanium
>new production methods lead to production of materials like flash bainite
>new plastics, new polymer catalysts leading to longer stronger chains
>new resins for fiber glass and carbon fiber products making them stronger than ever
>forged carbon parts entering consumer market
>labs creating higher capacity anodes for rechargeable batteries, new solid state electrolytes
>semisolid state batteries already in the wild

Industry is advancing everywhere there is a dollar to be made. You just don't know about it because you don't read any industry news outlets.

>How come

Computers
Internet
Sonar
Duct tape
Superglue
Freeze Drying
GPS
Instant Coffee
Tampons
Juice Concentrates
Medicines
Anti virals
Rocketry
Radar

Literally goes on and on and on dumbass.

The physical limits of silicon.

The cost of rebuilding a city with automation and modern technology is so high, no one could possibly afford to do it.
Not to mention the problems and frequent maintenance.

It's never going to happen. Most of our modern infrastructure is still from the 70's and 80's, if not earlier. Maybe in 100 years from now, the downtown core of most major cities will be rotten enough that they demolish and rebuild it, but it's unlikely to happen in our lifetime.

Attached: 9nohQh4.jpg (478x361, 12K)

Its not slowing down, what the fuck are you talking about? The problem is implementing new tech takes years due to testing.

laundering money and making meme products for le nerd culture to jack off over

Until we figure out a room temp super conductor, nothing is happening.
Not surprised none of you retards understand this though.

.t popsci brainlet who thinks hes smart because he knows what a superconductor is

The struggle is no longer about developing new technologies. The struggle is to keep new technologies out of the public's hands.

Just look at the internet, they have been working for the past decade to try and control the technology you already have and prevent you from using it.

t. Butthurt subhuman who had to google what a superconductor is

>Thinks the democrat and republican ruling dynasties actually matter and have delineated policies

Lol. Enjoy your political team sports faggot.

Not one item on your list is going to improve the quality of life of people in any significant way.

Please share your immense in depth solid state EE knowledge with us all. Tell us how the semicon industry is totally stagnating without your popsci meme superconductors that would take a decade to implement across the industry.
Please tell us what the BEOL would look like on your mythical superconductor substrate. While you're at it tell us all what gate topology would be used to facilitate the high theoretical clocks that it could potentially reach.

We should go backwards in technology in my opinion, I have no method of travel anymore. Aeroplanes are degenerate, ships don't have proper accommodations sorry Cunard but a one bedroom flat isn't luxurious, and trains don't seperate based on class anymore

How did we go from this

Attached: IMG_8500.jpg (962x732, 268K)

To this?!

Attached: IMG_8501.jpg (736x552, 134K)

We need ww3 for cool shit to appear(hopefully if we dont Nike ourselves)

Attached: 1527287749105.png (601x601, 267K)

I bet that bed is hard as a rock

No lol. The world is run by rich banking elite who for hundreds of years have stopped the advancement of technology. Just look at why Tesla was killed. The las thing the people who provide the money for technological research want is a population with access to technology that vastly improves their lives. They want to keep pumping out nigger tech for people to consume and make money off of them.

Craftsmen have largely died out due to factory assembly lines. Now that level of skill is an incredibly niche thing that demands an extremely high price.

Nice user. You fucking destroyed that mental degenerate piece of shit and put him in his place. Good to have people who actually know their shit.

They expect us to travel like animals, a 100 years of progress made in the Victorian Era all down the drain. Now we have fags and pedophiles running around like the Ancient Greek Days, drunkards like the Georgian Days, and half naked harlots like the Ancient Egyptian days.
Mankind has made zero progress since the end of the Great War, everything has gone backwards since then.

Because then we wouldnt require massive coolant infrastructure on our fusion tech, among other things.
It would enable much easier downscaling of tech, without loss of power.
Please gtfo with your little buzzword bullshit, nobody gives a fuck you read Science for Dummies and memorized a few fancy words.

Attached: Dc8iYjrXUAgnJB2.jpg (1080x1076, 87K)

This 100%. Technological advancement is not stopping at all, it’s just only going to be used by the elites while all of us have to live increasingly more shit lives.

A few weeks ago I picked up a gallon of ph neutral goo that you can stick a piece of rusty steel in and it will just eat the rust off of it. Non-caustic, leaves the metal completely untouched. And it was like 20 bucks, and I can use it again and again. Fucking crazy.

>SpaceX has done what, land a rocket on a barge? Sure is neat but not a breakthrough
Dude... is a fucking huge breakthrough. That shit will lower the prices of space exploration bigly.

>Hyperloop is a bust
Says who? still in progress, cheap and fast transportation is great for a country.
>Screens as in?
Ultra thin and bending smart screens for computers plus nano chips will allow you to carry a power computer on your wrist... And still advancing everyday.
>Space Force is nothing yet
YET.
Just wait a few years and you are going to see the most amazing shit you can beliefe. When the military start making rain the money, those motherfuckers know how to get shit done. (i have to accept that the f35 thing is kind of backwards, but still)

retard. Every aspect of that will improve tha quality of life when that tech is applied in household items and medic stuff.

Where the fuck you think all the cool shit you use in your every day life came from?

Where at?
Home Depot?

>He doesn't know that technology has been hidden from us since Roswell
Bro, what do you think Trump is talking about with his Space Force speeches? He's going to blow the lid off all the NWO's hidden medicines and tech

We've objectively made technological progress. The underlying issue you're raising is that our cultural norms and view of aesthetics stopped moving in the same direction. The standards of beauty that society once upheld were totally destroyed. Inner cities used to be things people traveled to just to marvel at, because they were unlike anything people had ever seen. Each major city in the US was unique, a center for real art, a monument to what mankind is capable of.
Now every major city across the earth is filled with soulless skyscrapers lacking all the charm and beauty of the traditional culture of the people.

People with degenerate hearts have degenerate views of beauty. Thats why we have people who see Ikea style minimalism and think its beautiful. All they know is lifeless consumerist hedonism.

>I don't actually know what I'm talking about and I'm caught dead to rights
>better try to double down
Nice one, autist.
All ICs will require cooling. Always. Self heating effect will always be a limiting factor, meme materials that you read about on reddit won't make this disappear.
Advanced Materials has a portfolio for backend scaling down to 3nm, potentially 1nm nodes with conventional bulk and SOI silicon. Topologies like GAAs facilitate massive improvements to perf/watt at iso frequency compared to standard FinFETs today.

A superconductor substate doesn't mean a chip would run without any sort of cooling, retard. 10 billion gates switching at 1thz would have insane thermal output even if they have a .1v drive voltage.

Don't try to talk out of your ass on a subject you know nothing about, reddit.

Why do you think those wars were fought? The banking cartels needed to destroy the progress white civilization had achieved in order to bring about their global financial scheme that was started with the British Empire. Countries like Germany and Russia were modernizing and making incredible strides in science and the UK was falling fast in world trade. And then after WW2 America became the leading empire of the world financial system and that’s why we have the CIA being created out of the OSS

evaporust, I bought it on amazon

Because the Germans started the war

No we haven't, how could you call an ugly bullet train progress over a steam train?
One is a rugged manly object invented by Christian Anglos, the other is a phallic shaped object invented by European homosexual atheists

>Because the Germans started the war

Untrue. British started it.

Germany was neutered and turned into a grand technocratic social engineering program since World War2, which the entire point of World War 2. Central Europe posed a real economic threat to Atlanticist hegemony in the early part of the 20th century

Science and technology going too fast for our little peanut of a brain .. sorry

Attached: Mr.Peanut2.jpg (4500x3000, 2.41M)

Russian Communism started it.

Western capitalists felt threatened and decided to build up a fascist state in Germany to act as a bulwark against it.

Look at who funded Hitler.
