Start small, you're young enough to put in a decade or so in the modest arena of state politics before you bother pissing all that money away on a national election. Personally, I don't think he'll build up the needed shekels to actually make a run for it unless there's a rich benefactor backing his campaign finances, it's not cheap to run for office, so without millions behind him, nobody will even know who the fuck he is. Like I said, he's got good ideas, but needs a decade or so to hone his message.
Only other scenario I can think of is if he ACTUALLY was able to run in 2020, he'll just siphon off the black vote from the democrats with his reparations notion, which would be funny since it'd just ensure another election similar to the '84 Mondale fiasco that had only 2 blue states on the map. I'd be okay with that.
