You take the root and soak it in a base liquid, like lye and water to soften it up and start breaking down the molecules. Let it mix then add an acid such as vinegar to completely free the DMT. Add a pinch of salt to attract the DMT molecules, causing them to be positively charged. You then add in your negatively charged fluid such as naptha, mix well, then let it sits til it separates.

Because, the DMT is bonded to positive ions from them salt, it is attracted to the negative ions in the naptha and is absorbed from the rest of the mix. Then it's just a simple matter if evaporation.
