Don't get me wrong, I avoid women in my personal life. I spent my youth chasing them, was in a relationship for eight years before I learned the truth about them and myself. I consider myself an addict no different than an alcoholic so abstinence is my only real option. However I'm a professional and will do my job to the best of my ability because someone I respect is paying me to do so. They don't want to waste money and I don't want to waste it. Frankly even if I am not being paid I would confront a man with a knife threatening people, frankly if you wouldn't you are boring. Conflict is exciting, if you don't feel that then you are either a woman or a terrible man. Until you've felt what it's like to triumph over someone who is an actual threat to your life you haven't lived, trust me. If the women had tried to fight him they would have lost, another male coworker and I were not able to overpower him, they were useless in this situation and they knew it. Just the way it's supposed to be. That's actually what I liked about it, all the girl power shit went to the wayside when reality happened and it felt good to see society function properly even if just for a minute. I should also point out that we would have had to confront him even if there hadn't been any women present, again, part of the job.
