I think it's inevitable because it's the boomer democrats are largely not on board with a lot of actual leftist ideas that the young people and extremists in the party are embracing. These old world Dems still yearn for the Democratic Party of Bill Clinton rather than all of this flat out marxist anti-white LGBT insanity, but that desire will die off with them. Millennials and Gen Z are going to have an actual leftist party to worry about, not just soft right liberals.
