Not really no, I live in California and I almost always get a response back when I apply and put down that i'm white in the job application form.
Ironically, I got rejected way more often when I lived in Texas.

I’ve started doing this with Hispanic. A white “Hispanic” guy gave me the idea. There are people who are almost or entirely European who are “hispanic” but still get minority status.

I feel the opposite way. I always put down white without hesitation. Any employer who’s been around long enough knows that blacks are lazy as fuck and cause lots of drama. It might be a little different in blue states but I think even they secretly acknowledge that blacks are terrible workers too.

I use to think this too. Watch frame games interviews on JFs channel. A big part of discriminating against white men has to do with covering your ass for lawsuits. By discriminating in favor of minorities and women I t’s harder for one of them to sue you for discrimination. The suits can be for billions of dollars and can/have brought down big companies. Also white men are not a protected class and therefor can’t sue you for discrimination.

It's a coin flip. If you put white and they're a real company, they'll see white and know "this guy isn't just here to pad our diversity numbers; he's good." If they're an SJW fest they'll see white and skip over you. Meanwhile if you put not-white and they're a real company they might pass over you if they're at their quota, whereas the SJW one will greenlight you right away. Overall I'd say study the company you're applying to. Small company that doesn't need to worry about diversity quotas? Put white. Big corporation? Put black.
