My neighbor just got a full scholarship for claiming native american heritage. Is there any chance in hell a guy like this is even 1/8 native?

To be be part of a federally recognized tribe you have to prove that you’re st least 1/4 ethnically that tribe. You don’t just declare it.

Oddly enough, if I had to go by looks, I'd have to say yeah. Have a good friend that's confirmed half Native American. Not Comanche, some other shit, but looks very similar to your neighbor in a lot of ways. Like that could be his bastard child, no exaggeration.

He’s at most 1/16. To declare yourself part of the tribe for AA purposes, you have to be involved in the politics of the tribe, not just 23andme bullshit.
