I've noticed many of you go about debating leftists in the wrong way. You try to counter every point they make with evidence and reasons. There is a time and a place for this style of debate, and it is with other intellectuals. If you're having a private conversation, or your audience is mostly normies, you have to use the following tactics instead:
>First and foremost, always stay calm I understand most people have difficulty with this one, but never just insult them because you think they deserve it. >Accuse them of being anti-intellectual Do this early and do this often. Constantly do this throughout, as this will set the frame for the rest of the discussion. This point is actually true, as they openly deny reality. Any onlookers will begin to realize this as well as you continually point it out. What's most disgusting is that they think they have science on their side, and are not used to themselves being called anti-intellectuals. >Offer to debate them. Instead of hurling pointless insults, telling them to go prep the bull, etc, offer to debate them in a calm and collected way. This will further set the stage with you as the intellectual and they as the child throwing a tantrum. If they refuse, you can cite point one, reminding them that debate is the vehicle of ideas. Onlookers will be disappointed with their inability to defend themselves. Continue as if you were debating even if they refuse, but don't debate using evidence and reason until you've done the following things. >Feelings based Approach This is mostly for females who give an absurd amount of importance on feelings when it comes to deciding policy. This one is tough for conservatives to master, but can be very effective if done properly. Example: I feel scared for a society that imports too many brown people, who are you to say my feelings are wrong? Only use this if you're sure you're dealing with a feeler and in a private conversation, or else your audience will think you are too ridiculous.
>Expose their absurdity by going even more left than they are. This is the most effective tactic, and it is the meat and potatoes of debating leftists. It is also the most difficult, as it requires creativity and experience to masterfully craft the situation so that the leftist, who has not once introspected on the validity of his positions, will happily expose their true nature. Because of the inherent difficulty, I will give some examples.
1. Minimum wage: Anyone who has browsed this board long enough or has any understanding of economics knows that any minimum wage is bad. The way to frame the liberal side on this argument is, as usual, to take it to the extreme. Why stop at 15$ minimum wage? Why not have 50$ dollar minimum wage? Why not 100$? If you disagree with that, then you hate poor people. Bonus points if you can pretend like you genuinely believe it. These types of arguments are always more effective when your opponent can't simply dismiss them as you trying to troll them. What this does is effectively force them to take the conservative side for the first time in their life, arguing why a high minimum wage might be bad.
2. Open borders: Using the same form as example one, we can see that a similar argument for this topic would be to pay Central and South American governments to send us their poorest individuals. After all, brown people are so good for America, we should actively seek to send them to our country. We can get their poorest people for the cheapest, so it's silly that we're not doing that. In fact, we should probably just use our military to kidnap them. All white households should be forced to raise at least one Guatemalan child, according to its ability.

3. White genocide: We need to round up all white people into concentration/death camps, because as we all know, white people are literally evil incarnate and should all be exterminated.
4. Government interference into daily life: All unhealthy food items like cake, soft drinks, cookies, pizza, ice cream should be banned. Additionally, cars should be banned too so that people are forced to exercise and for the sake of the environment.
Ultimately, the trick is to use the tactics that were most effective at winning them over to leftism to begin with. That is to say, not evidence and reason, but logical fallacies. Wherever they have a leftist believe, expose it by taking their reasoning to its utmost extreme.

Also a good idea is to acknowledge and understand their underlying emotions. For example, the kids at the border being separated is very upsetting to these folks. Obviously, no one wants to see kids in these situations but it’s a more complex issue than you make it seem. First, address the reason these folks are coming.
