So, this is it boys.
Tomorrow, on 4th of July, the European Parliament will be voting on the notorious new Internet Filtering directive, that includes the feared Articles #11 and 13.
>WTF is this shit, and how's it vidya related ??
These articles pretty much demand all European countries to place automated filters on all Internet traffic, designed to spot if an user's trying to upload any kind of copyrighted or licensed material on-line. If the user does not have a permission from all the authors of the content, his upload is either HALTED, or TAXED. Similarly, the owners of any content can block and control people's access to their material as they please.
This crap would practically destroy the right of "Fair Use", meaning all fan-art, remixes, video reviews & LPs, even online discussions about copyrighted stuff and memeing would technically become impossible. It'd also obviously mean that folks on social media services could no longer just link to / directly post things they've read or seen on the net.
tl;dr: say bye bye to 4chans, bros.
>LOL EUROPOORS! I'M A BURGER! :^)
Just like the GDPR, this could very likely affect ALL people in the world, more or less.
You should be worried.
>WTF can we do now?
You can spread the word about this mess, and contact your MEPs through this site's forms and links:

FYI, this Directive passed the first-stage earlier last month, the vote of the JURY, but just by ONE (1) vote. Some fishy EU politicians have been pushing this shit forwards with suspicious desperation and haste now, probably because the public would obviously resist it.
There's a chance that the Parliament-wide voting will shoot down the directive, but better safe than sorry.
