Most of the conversions in germany were forced and only Bavarians were using the Irish Method of converting (the method that preserved and adopted pagan traditions) The Franks used force and did the most of it. The Irish Method was used a few times on us Slavs in Carantania,Bavaria and elsewhere I dont exactly remember.
