EMT here. No one who can't pay for an ambulance is paying for it lmao. We make fucking 13 bucks an hour, the company is barely keeping the lights on. The reason it MIGHT cost $3000 is because like 75% of our patients don't pay, so when someone actually has insurance, we send the insurance a huge bill to cover everyone else.
