The Protocols are not "real" in the sense of being an actual secret plan of a secret Jewish council that was somehow leaked to the public. They are, however, "real" in the sense that they accurately describe what Jews do.
The Protocols appear to be a very clever bit of propaganda which uses the claim of being a secret document to catch people's interest and lay out Jewish behavior in an easily digestible form. It's a bit outdated and doesn't really help very much in the modern world, where you can show people in real time what the heebs are up to and where people (rightly) want more proof of things. But it was very effective in its day at getting people riled up against their true enemies. Remember, it was impossible in those days to "prove" things to people when records of even major events were only stored in a handful of major cities. Just because the Protocols were not what they claimed to be doesn't mean they were not helping people nearer the truth.
Just be careful trying to redpill people with them today, it's best to use them as an example of how people in the past tried to wake others up to what has been going on (and how modern kikery is not actually modern but what they have always done) not as a source in themselves.

I think the more self-aware ones certainly know that it is accurate. I think Bobby Fischer read it and it is a big part of what made him hate his own tribe so much that it broke him. But you have to remember that at the time it was written the trends it mentions had already begun. Jews were already involved in femenism, pushing mass migration etc. It isn't actually that predictive, mostly just descriptive, and whoever wrote it was very well traveled and informed.
We tend to fall into the trap of modernity and believe that these subversions didn't really begin until after WW2, but Jews have been doing this shit for a very long time. They have simply increased their power drastically post-1945.
The only really startling prediction is that about the use of mass media, but that was not inconceivable at the time either. The press was already coming under Jewish sway in the late 19th century, and had been used to control public opinion already.
