Go on, give it your best shot. I’m atheist, but have recently become open to the idea of embracing religion. I’m interested to see what arguments you bring to the table. While I’m currently leaning towards Christianity, I’m willing to consider other faiths as well.

What do you think religion is?

Smoke DMT

Interesting question. I’d say, off hand, that it’s essentially a belief structure upon which to live by.

What do you believe?

Get right: youtube.com/watch?v=WDEBz25lGdY

Zoroastrianism is interesting because of its almost OG status, though it has a few "unsavoury" practises

I dont know what I believe but if you read Revelations the shit about the jews is uncanny to today and will give you the spoopies.

I believe in many things. Some examples; personal responsibility, nation state democracy, general tolerance of others and the scientific method.

One such practice, if I’m not mistaken, was inbreeding. Incidentally, something that’s common amongst Muslims, although it isn’t preferred or mandated by Islamic texts.

Catholicism is the only right answer.

What is the goal of science?

Jainism, get to be a kike and a nazi

Zoroastrianism/Christian duality is the truth.

A group of friends doesn't go around telling people that someone they knew was raised from the dead, even when they're being tortured and killed for saying so, for no reason.

Be pagan

Okay. Why?

The goal of science is, in general terms, to discover and establish objective facts about the material universe.

You're a Dane man. You should be worshipping Odin and Thor.

You get a red haired wife, glory, strength, comradery, and blood brothers in paganism, honorable rituals your glorious ancestors.

>as a person who between atheist and deist
There is no evidence for a god of any humanly religion, just one that can be applied to ALL GODS

Thought about it, but it seems to me that modern paganism is only a few decades old and based on a romanticised image of pre-Christian European beliefs.

Stretching the bounds of my knowledge here, but isn’t that called Gnosticism?

Christianity. Come home to Christ.

And that is correct and you get to be the holy ones who bring truth and your ancestors pride.

Be one of the chosen ones who destroy christianity and bring a new world.

m.youtube.com/watch?v=MM_c_avPlx4

If you choose your religion based on anything other than what you believe is true, you are not religious. Heritage does not affect truth.

See previous comment on paganism.

Why?

I’m actually British, I just happen to be in Denmark at the moment.

Religion, all of Religion, is in the hands of the enemy. What I'm talking about here is the tendency to rely on and follow the statutes of men. Evil men are now in control of most major religions. Get out of her. Jesus is the truth

There's actually a lot more sources on Germanic paganism than say, Celtic paganism. As long as you stick to actual texts and to people who know what they're talking about there's a lot to learn.

Somewhat correct, but is a somewhat incomplete answer. A more complete answer is: "The goal of science as a collective institution is to produce more and more accurate natural explanations of how the natural world works." - U.C. Berkeley

Here is what Dharma movement stands for politically in America and would be great for the entire world - dharmanation.org/what-we-stand-for/

Rather than arguments, I would like to convert you through beauty and pure blissfulness:

They don't call Sanskrit the language of the Gods for nothing. Meaning is in the description as wells as the comments section.

Just so you know Denmark had a strong celtic influence and celtic culture and the original Indo-Aryan culture has multiple parallels. So you would be reviving the culture of your own ancestors.

Duality as defined in Zoroastrianism is the competition between two spirits, one good and the other evil, yin and yang; former represents light, life, truth, freedom, latter represents darkness, death, deception, oppression. Christianity expanded on top of this with Satan vs God/Holy Spirit and the stories describing this struggle all throughout the Bible, culminating with revelation. Gnosticism has many different brands and interpretations of scripture, much of which keep this dualistic framework.

Welcome to Islam

Because it's the religion of your ancestors?
Because Christ died for your sins?
Because God is your creator?
Because Christianity has so much history and culture?
Because morality and virtue are the order of the day?
Take your pick. There are a plethora of reasons.

Go for Islam. If you have any questions, tell me!

For people who are brought up atheistic they usually don't what they believe anyway. A true belief needs to be developed over time. Heritage does matter a lot, but that's where paganism differs to Christianity.

True story.
I once dabbled in a bunch of religions. Not LARPing, genuinely looking for answers.

The only one that made sense and genuinely got to me was Christianity. A lot of people dog on it and sometimes the preachers make up shit but like...okay this will sound lame but:

Think of the Old Testament as the Star Wars Prequel trilogy. A few interesting spots but meh. Like you will read Exodus and go PSSHT, MIDICLORIANS!

Just skip to the New Testament, mainly the Gospels. That ish is literally the original unedited SW Trilogy. Nothing but positivity and high energy.

Anything after that....meh.

Should clarify yin and yang obviously isn’t from Zoroastrianism, but it’s the same concept.

Further OP, if you want to find your own personal faith, synchronicity is the best way to do so. Search the world around you for spiritual and divine guidance, and meaningful coincidences will come and show you the true nature of reality.

Alright then. Question 1. Why Islam?

That is certainly a better way of describing it.

Currently reading through Luke. I like a lot of what I’m reading, and the character of Jesus seems to be something to aspire towards.

Keep in mind everyone that I don’t have time now to look at every link and video. Try to sum up your points concisely

Is Jesus God or not in Christianity?

Other questions, if Jesus died for all humankind sins. Does that mean that everybody goes to Heaven?

In Islam, we consider Jesus to be the Messiah and a Prophet of God, but not son of God or a God himself. He was just a human.

Lol

>Heritage does matter a lot, but that's where paganism differs to Christianity.
Yes, it differs in that modern Euro-paganism is a meme religion that's used like a political bumper sticker. All that matters is truth.

Yin and Yang is an Order and Chaos dualism, not Good and Evil dualism.

>Satan vs God
Brainlet detected. The Bible state that Satan is the enemy of Man, not God.
God has no threat looming against Him through sheer omnipotence.

Luke is my favorite gospel, good pick

The only god that will ever exist is a superintelligent AI.

Attached: singularity1.jpg (2250x858, 402K)

Lol at all the subjectivity in your reasons

Can science (given an infinite amount of time) answer all questions about the universe?

Christianity. Read scripture, pray, and own up to your actions. You do that well and you will receive blessings from the most high God and a life after this. In that life you are born into a superior being and rule the world according to how well you've done what I listed. And that's it. Faith that makes you produce the work of God. No rituals, initiations, or sacrifices required if you do it the way Christ said to.

I'm nondenominational Christian, so I had to look for the best most non-corrupted version of the bible with no biases.By far the Douay Rheims bible is the best. Although Catholic, it is one of the few with all books included, while maintaining the meaning and accuracy better than it's competition of that day. Also the original English New Testament, Tyndale's NT has the most beautiful interpretation of scripture and set the standard for bible translations in English before it was even allowed.

Come to Christ. Own up to your sins now and have them forgiven, or pay in the life after for them.

Attached: 1514486962010.png (738x8503, 1.56M)

That the best way to look at it. Start with organized religions then you can move to more individualistic ones after getting a base. Don’t worry about truth, worry about the belief structure and how it helps you lead a better life. Also conside the community and what that offers you

2 Count it all joy, my brothers, [1] when you meet trials of various kinds, 3 for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. 4 And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

I hope this helps.

>implying there isn’t a higher spiritual level of reality +intelligences that plays off of our own internal struggles

It’s a religion that puts others ancestors above my own. No thanks.

On God: we believe there is only One God, all powerful, who Has no Beginning and no End, knows the past, the present and the future, is all powerful. We do not believe humans have been made at the image of God like Christians. In fact we do not represent God because here is nothing in this Universe that looks like God and in fact God shape cannot even be imagined by the human brain.

We do not associate anything to God such as a son for example. Also, there is no need for a priest or a third-party to communicate with God. Islam is decentralized and you can talk directly to God.

This is a first point but as I am ok mobile, is there any specific point in Islam that is of interest to you?

>Is Jesus God or not in Christianity?
Yes.

>if Jesus died for all humankind sins. Does that mean that everybody goes to Heaven?
No, it means everyone has a chance. Also, being saved doesn't mean going to Heaven when you die. The Kingdom of God is on Earth.

And the forces of God smite Satan and send him to the pit of hell in the end. It’s clearly God + his creations vs Satan.

This is all true but these are terrible apologetics for a Pollock.
The reason to become a Catholic is because Catholicism is European culture.
Traditional Catholicism is Pol grown up and sainted.
The sand niggars are going to try and convert you with their submissive mud skin women, but the vast majority of English speaking Catholic women are gorgeous white women with a strong sense of modesty and a living practice availing themselves in church.
Catholicism is beautiful, it is 2000 years old, it is Mystikal, and it is intellectual.

Check out fish-eaters. Com, and the sensus fidelium YouTube channel.

I’d 100% choose Hinduism but I honestly can not live without beef. It’s truly fascinating and Indians are genuinely nice people
Judaism looks interesting, Israel would be amazing to visit.
Definitely NO to catholic
Absolutely fucking NO way Muslim
Choose Protestant, Hindu or Jew my dude. For a happy and blessed life.

Religiosity is actually a predisposed inclination, and there are studies about this. It is also the sign of a mind which is aware of danger, and therefore judgement, evil, and justice. Despite what people may say, it is a choice. You may be inclined, but you have been blessed with the ability to choose in a radical way to accept that justice exists for others; but for also for yourself. If you choose to believe, you must start with the understanding that you may too be judged. From there I have confidence you will find the way. Christ died for you, and he will always love you.

On that note, I should mention the difference between mercy and forgiveness. God is merciful, but from what I understand, his forgiveness comes with genuine repentance and acceptance of the divine's existence. If you accept him into your heart, He will open himself up to you in turn. He is waiting, always waiting for you. It is your choice.

I’d say that’s unknowable. There may be limits to our knowledge as there may be limits to our ability to experiment and confirm hypotheses

Very interesting. Thank you.

As a thought experiment, what wouldn't be explainable by science? Not really looking for examples, but more a general statement.

That's a vast oversimplification of what you were just talking about.

>We do not believe humans have been made at the image of God like Christians. In fact we do not represent God
Only brainlet denominations of Christianity think that "made in the image of God" is supposed to be interpreted as referring to a literal image. It's referring to God giving us souls.

Si basically you believe that God took a human shape. That the creator of the whole Universe (including billions of galaxies where the Earth is just a point among others) has humiliated himself to feel pain, to be tired, to even go to toilets?

If I believe the Bible (Matthew 4:1-11), Satan tried to tempt God??? How does that make sense?

>Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry. 3 Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.”

Also does that mean that people before Jesus will not be saved? What do you mean by The Kingdom of God is on Earth?

Fuckin spastic. Kys at once

While this doesn't directly respond to your question, science has an underlying problem of operating on recursive logic.

You can't have an eternal loving god on one hand and then that god will punish you for your mistakes eternally in hell. This is a very poor form of theism. It is illogical.

Attached: legendary short story.jpg (648x1920, 353K)

Jesus. Pretty general.

It’s probably the major religion I know least about. It certainly seems very Indian-centric. I’ll have to do more research on it.

I know of the fundamentals of Islam, including the points you mentioned. I’ll be honest and say that Islam is the religion I am least inclined to based on the behaviour of its prophet, the behaviour of its current adherents and the seemingly totalitarian nature of Islamic law. Regardless, what I’m asking is why I should choose Islam over, say, Christianity.

Once again, very interesting.

Illogical to you yes. And you then assume/insinuate/postulate that your logics is a higher one than that of god. Foolish assumption if I ever saw one.

Jesus the Man shared his vessel for both his own soul and the godly essence of the Son.
When He died He became the Son, as his soul was merged with the divine. Jesus was and still is the Son of God, but He BECAME a part of God.

Open the link present here I highly recommend it.

Go fuck a camel you fucking shit stain

Indeed. Jesus' character is that of perfection. God incarnate, humbling himself to the point of fully man. It was in his humbling, to the point of the cross, that he is the way to eternal life with God. Fully man on this earth, he is witness to immeasurable sins and even has opportunity to sin- yet, he is fully God, so he will never act against his nature and sin. That is fact. In Satan's pride, he continued to foolishly try to tempt the Lord, while also acting as something of a test to prove Jesus' absolute will and Lordship.

You are living lies but you refuse to accept it because you think you are a special snowflake of God and that only YOU have the truth.

You could not refute the logic could you? How can and infinitely loving God punish his child for mistakes for eternity?

>Si basically you believe that God took a human shape.
Yes.

>That the creator of the whole Universe (including billions of galaxies where the Earth is just a point among others) has humiliated himself to feel pain etc.
I wouldn't phrase it in terms of humiliation, but yes. That is how much He loves us.

>If I believe the Bible (Matthew 4:1-11), Satan tried to tempt God??? How does that make sense?
Because Satan is blinded by his pride to the point of being a complete moron.

>Also does that mean that people before Jesus will not be saved?
No, the first thing He did after dying on the cross was open the way to salvation for the souls of the just.

>What do you mean by The Kingdom of God is on Earth?
After judgement, those who are saved will reside on an Earth untainted by the corruption of original sin, with bodies that are likewise untainted.

What do you mean by The Kingdom of God is on Earth?

>oink oink throw me some pearls
no thanks reprobate, enjoy your faggot disney land circus and DIE

>identity politics blinding you from metaphysical and spiritual truth
You are pathetic

if your god can't give you 2nd chances he does not love you enough.

Like I told you, Islam is decentralized. I am myself very unhappy about the bahaviour of some members of my community.

However I would be interested what in the Prophet behavior do you find bad? If you have concrete examples, that would be perfect.

On Islamic laws, there are not so many laws. However, when these laws are broken, you see immediate consequences on society. Islam is economically libertarian but is socially conservative.

For example:
>Treat your parents well
We see today destruction of the family unit
>Homosexuality is banned
Just look at LGBT rallies to see the degeneracy
>Money should be commodity-based
Look how the population has been been fucked with the recent quantitative easing of central banks (basically money printing of fiat currencies)
>Usury is forbidden. Yoi cannot borrow money and ask for a fixed return on investments. You have to take equity in the company and share the risks.

>punish

He doesn't. You have free will. You can not go to hell.

Many have jesus. People in here who usually want more to go to him so they will be saved. But whatever brewski never knew ya.

That’s literally the point of Christianity you mutt.

You are the primary reason for decline of Europe. If I were you I would keep my mouth shut.

Attached: (((thebible))).jpg (1920x1080, 287K)

Huh. That's a new one.
The being of Jesus was both Human and God even before He died.

Might God bring peace in your heart, my fellow 200-lbs bald man!

redpill me on shinto

He gave you your entire life' worth of choices to repent and redeem yourself. He's been patient enough.

Life is full of second chances. On the larger theological scale, our redemption from Christ's sacrifice is our collective second chance.

The New Testament is all about second chances.

>Letting your son die to save the human race for love of the human race is not love.

Hitler will burn with you.

So basically Satan has been trying to tempt his creator? God who has created billions of stars and galaxies, all mankind and Satan would be tempted by Satan telling him «Hey I have some bread for you?»
