Post-Modernism came after modernism, and it was even worse (Piss Christ, Period Blood painting, etc) Right now, the Hot art style seems to be Pop Art. Still shitty and says a lot about our society, but at least it takes a little skill. Hopefully the pendulum keeps moving and we get better stuff in the next 50 years

fashwave was fun and easy to make and drew on so many easy sources for a typical Jow Forums user to draw on. it's definitely had its day though. i think it started out equal parts frivolity, cheek and earnestness and eventually became too earnest.
