>Trump mocked critics who claim that Russian President Vladimir “Putin is KGB.” Putin was in fact a long-serving KGB agent, and later directed the FSB, its successor. Trump complained about journalists using anonymous sources, something he claimed hadn’t happened in the past—eliciting chortles from journalists for whom he has been an anonymous source. (Anyone expecting Trump to tone down his rhetorical attacks on journalists after the shooting at a newspaper office in Annapolis was, in addition to being naive, disappointed: “Seventy-five percent of those people are downright dishonest.”)
>Finally, there was the bizarre. In the midst of criticizing Senator Elizabeth Warren, Trump—who has been caught on tape boasting about sexually assaulting women—paused to mock the #MeToo movement. Apropos of nothing, he puzzled over the meaning of George H.W. Bush’s “Thousand Points of Light.”
>Trump made no mention of Scott Pruitt, the EPA administrator whom he forced out Thursday afternoon amid a slew of scandals. One reported reason Pruitt held on so long was that despite his bad press, he was effectively implementing Trump’s policy of deregulating industry and loosening pollution standards. Yet in the closing moments of the rally, Trump rhapsodized: “I heard so much about your skies, I rode in and looked at those skies. Not seeing pollution is a wonderful thing. Those are beautiful skies.”
>It was a fittingly dissonant way to close the rally. But was it an interesting one? Any number of Trump’s statements on Thursday would have elicited a firestorm three, or two, or maybe even one year ago. Today, they’re good for a shrug. Maybe that’s a sign that the American people are becoming inured to Trump’s falsehoods and distortions. Or maybe it’s a sign the magic is wearing off.

There is a ton we can do, people need to be catalyzed to act. Foremost we need to have a better organized social media strategy like before with lots of people trying different things and spreading different things trying to get local candidates elected. This thread would be more than happy to help, we just need people to kick it off.
>literally admits that Trump was right >but he's wrong because we say so If one organization transforms into another, then logically it is not the same. We do not call Americans British because they were once part of their empire.

Yes.
>The United States is on track to meet the targets of the Paris climate agreement despite President Donald Trump's plan to withdraw from the accord, U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said Thursday.
>Guterres said emissions-cutting plans put in motion by American businesses, regional governments and cities meant that the goals set by the former U.S. administration which signed the deal in 2016 were within reach.
>"We have seen in the cities, and we have seen in many states, a very strong commitment to the Paris agreement, to the extent that some indicators are moving even better than in the recent past," Guterres told reporters at U.N. headquarters in New York.
AND, even before Trump, the U.S. was not doing so badly
>POLLUTION FROM CANADIAN REFINERIES EMBARRASSMENT COMPARED TO U.S.
>The Imperial Oil Refinery in Sarnia, Ont., and the Marathon Petroleum refinery in Detroit. MI., have much in common: geography, climate and production levels.
>What separates them is a 90-minute drive, a national border and starkly different emission levels for some key pollutants.
>Sarnia’s Imperial Oil refinery emitted 10 times more fine particulate matter, seven times more carbon monoxide and 49 times more sulphur dioxide than the Detroit plant.
Tons. it's a very historical-site rich place. I'm not going to shill too much because i dont want my state government to get money because i despise it so much.

I've been trying the same thing for months in these generals, and they never listen.

People are with Trump 70% on immigration. He needs to keep pushing this. Game over.

>Last fall, the Pew Research Center released one of its periodic typologies of the American electorate, identifying the demographic and ideological fissures both within and between the two parties. The two most conservative factions within the Republican Party were familiar types. The first, and largest, “Core Conservatives,” holds doctrinaire positions on everything. This group is “financially comfortable,” and “overwhelmingly supports smaller government, lower corporate tax rates and believes in the fairness of the nation’s economic system,” and also “express[es] a positive view of U.S. involvement in the global economy.” This is the conservatism of Paul Ryan.
>Another group, “Country First Conservatives,” is “older and less educated than other Republican-leaning typology groups,” and has more populist and isolationist views. They are “highly critical of immigrants and deeply wary of U.S. global involvement,” and most likely to believe “if America is too open to people from all over the world, we risk losing our identity as a nation.”
>Which of these two groups do you think registered higher support for Donald Trump? The Country First Conservatives, right? Well, no. Ninety-three percent of Core Conservatives approved of Trump’s job performance, as opposed to 84 percent of Country First Conservatives. The most ideologically pure conservatives are Trumpier than the nativist and isolationist ones.

>I've been trying the same thing for months in these generals, and they never listen. Same, pick some cause to champion. I've successfully gotten a lot of things done but local politics is hard because I have limited knowledge and anonymous placing. Donations are probably illegal to many places as a foreign citizen. Momiji had a lot of positive political impact as a great template for some patriotic stuff but that aside people have gotten lazy.
If you pick some specific races and push them hard all over social media then you'll do far more than donating hundreds would. Getting a few people in these threads to actively support some campaigns is incredibly productive. People need a kick in the ass.
Join groups and pay them, but better yet you could pick some races to inform people here and around social media to get more active in. Scarcely do I see people advocating for local elections and races anymore. We need more people doing that desperately.
