Not just women, but like. EVERYONE. The dirty secret about these industry funded organizations doing "coding bootcamps" is that it allows businesses to fire all their experienced staff for barely trained apes that can barely use a computer.
Then when things go wrong, they can either import H1B's from India to work at slave wages, or outsource their barely working garbage to India.
This looks good on paper because projected costs will be low, low, low. I work for a small Indy game company in NorCal. I had to work with a women artist, once. She was the laziest sack of shit. Pretended to be "sick" to stay home all the time, didn't listen to critiques, was constantly confused and didn't ask questions when she didn't understand. I pretty much got her fired before her contract ended to free up resources. We now have a male doing the same job and he's much more reliable.

It's very difficult to assign quantified measurement to IT staff after the group has been together a long time. Work becomes compartmentalized, people break off and do different tasks and the pecking order of who is quality and who is just a pylon starts to become clear. Yet at the same time people just keep hacking away and getting away with doing easy shit because it's easier to give them simple to work than build a case against them and fire them. Try firing a female IT staff and see how that goes. There's one female packager in our IT department who writes code that makes no fucking sense whatsoever. She's got lines repeating 3 times in some sections of script. The same line. Repeated 3 times. Literally wtf.
