There was an idea perhaps Elon could expand on this involving the construction of a biodome where the people are. BY creating a blaanced eco system growing trees perhaps building an electron collider like CERN they could in theory generate a small black hole to create a star for warmth and photosynthesis so the children would never have to leave the cave at all.

They have tanks at each location in case of emergency but one tank for the diver and an octopus or small tank for the kids should be fine, i dont quite see what is stopping them from giving that.

Closest thing I've personally seen is a boy scout troop getting caught in a flash flood in a slot canyon.

His letter was published in De Telegraaf newspaper's website - telegraaf.ne - on July 5, with the headline; Thaise Dennis (9) vraagt Rutte om hulp bij grotjongens: 'Nederland weet toch veel van water', which translates as "Thai Dennis (9) asks Rutte for help with cave boys: 'The Netherlands knows a lot about water'."
His mother, Nantinee Ruangsakorn, posted the letter on her Facebook.
She asked her husband why Netherlands was not doing anything, so he said they were not experts in caves because "we have no caves".
"The present problem is not about caves but about the large volume of water which hampers the evacuation of the boys. I think Netherlands is the best country in the world in managing water," she told her husband and he agreed.
The mother urged her son to help the stranded boys by writing a letter to the Dutch premier.
That's how Dennis's first letter was written, the mother said, adding what the premier will decide is now up to him.
It is not yet clear whether Mr Rutte has read the letter.
