More realistic than racist. There’s a reason why most law inforcement leans right. When you see how the lower class minorities behave, how they treat their environments, their women, their children, how they treat each other, how they treat the cops that are the only thing stopping gangs from swallowing their rotting little neighborhoods, whatever ideas you might have had about race equality just fold. Black cops, white cops, latino cops. Doesn’t matter. Might take six months, might take six years if you even make it that far. Everyone winds up in the same boat eventually.

There is no racism - we are all the same race... HUMAN race. No elves, dwarves or dragons. If some ethnicities are statistically doing something more - ie. crime, then its okay to be more cautious or dislike them. Its also okay to dislike them for any other reason, because its a personal preference. If you deny them service or anything because of that, then even then you couldnt be racist, you would just be discriminating them (which is the same for age, sex, religion and so on - not 5 different labels, just one - discrimination).

When the overwhelming majority of crimes are committed by blacks and spics despite them being minorities, I expect a certain sense of realism sets in in cops. You might call it racism, but it's grounded on facts.

Most police officers in the United States I've met are outstanding professionals who want to make a difference, but it depends on the department and the individual. There are scumbags out there as well who should never be trusted in a position of authority.

I am a cop and I agree 100% with this statement.
White cops do look out for white people who arnt gang related, lefti faggots or sexual deviants. They wont send there own kind to jail for civil infractions because they want to see there people succeed and get into the workforce. That's not racism. That's just looking out for your people.
I think they are realistic, and experience just reinforces the prejudices. If 90% of the suspects in violent, abusive or narcotic crimes are minorities/blacks/whatever, I'm going to think less of that group.
