Should education be free?

I used to think the world would be better off with less unskilled people, so free education might help fix that. Now, I think students would be encouraged to learn dumb things without any monetary incentive to pick a practical education. Tax payers would be fully funding gender studies, and more cucks than ever would be attending those classes.

The cost of education would almost be a moot point, if it weren't for student loans and grants. The schools will charge as much as they can get, so prices always rise to what the average student can pay. If everyone paid out of pocket, prices would necessarily be much lower.

In a capitalist economy, people voluntarily pay for things they deem worthy.

If your education lets you do a job that is useful to society, you will be paid for it and be able to repay the cost of that education.

If your education does not make you valuable enough to society to be voluntarily paid for it in the open market, there are two choices:
1) You do not pay for that education
2) You try to get hired by the government, thus making the transaction involuntary (taxes are collected through force)

This is not a difficult concept. If you go into social sciences or other useless fields, you MUST become a government employee, since no one will voluntarily & willingly pay you enough to be worth it - society does not consider you valuable. You must FORCE people to pay you.
