That is how I see it too. Old world nations/ethnic groups were relatively isolated and when new people came they were usually in such small numbers that they disappeared into the local populations within a few generations. Nowadays, that isnt true and it's so sad.

Germans ARE mixed with Danes, French and Polaks my friend. Prussia was basically a German-Slavic mix, as north Germany a Viking-German mix and Alsace Lorraine A Franco-German mix. Inner-European migration was never really a problem.

I see what you mean, but I guess the point is that that kind of mixing happened along the borders, which created several subgroups of Germans in those areas if I am not mistaken. The question, or problem, is rather that now people can very easily mix with even greater numbers. The risk is that we all will blend together into the "European".

I am a mix of various Western European ethnicities, Scots-Irish, French, and German.
I personally don't mind if an Englishman marries a German, or a Dane marrying a Norwegian because all these people are Germanic, furthermore, I believe it is okay if Northern Europeans of any kind mix with other Northern Europeans. I don't, however, like mixing Western/Northern Europeans with Slavs or Southern Europeans, as the latter peoples are mongrels and would corrupt any pure Western European bloodlines. This is why the EU must be dismantled.
Being that I am part French I have Mediterranean, or Southern European ancestry, although I am mostly of Northern European stock. I still don't believe these people should mix. Yes, this is true, there have been different European ethnicities intermingling with each other for centuries at least, and for millennia at most. I realized this when I had an online Swedish friend who was part German ancestry.
