Been going to the gym three times a week now for a month. Feeling good.
20mins cardio. Followed by 16 reps for three sets on each machine.
Can barely lift fuck all. But am improving fast considering I've not done anything for seven years. Was doing slow sets of 8X3 to begin for the first two weeks to ease into things.
I might become a lite /fraud/ in a couple months. Depending how cardio goes. I was at the point of palpitations and shit prior. So I gotta get my bpm on the treadmill down to an acceptable level.
What's /SIG/'s thoughts on being a /fraud/. I'm not planning to dose hard. Just enough to get me in shape just a bit sooner. I know I'll have to work hard to keep what gains I get from a cycle. But I'm keen.

Question for anons out there. If you were me (Comp-sci major out for summer) and had unlimited willpower, what would your schedule look like. What would you eat? What would your average day, week, and month look like? Everything. How would you become the overman?

Fellas I sold my PS4 and removed games from my laptop after coming to terms with my video game addiction and holy fuck after just a few short days I realize just how much of a boring fuck I am and can't stop thinking about all the life experiences I've missed out on by staying in and numbing myself with pixels instead. It feels really fucking bad tbqh.

Now you need to replace that with something good, and good for you.
Myself just going to the gym regularly has improved my feeling of waste. I've done fucking nothing for years. But having a regular workout has broken me out of that funk. I'm beginning to chat to people when I hit the sauna. I haven't spoken to someone out side of family for a decade.
It's the small goals that you need to aim for. Unlike me you prolly have IRL friends. This will be much easier for you. Start out by going out to lunch, get the healthy option. Discuss a group activity, try to steer it to something physical, or social. Lick a rock climbing wall, bowling even. Or something like a concert.
It's about getting back into life, and a healthy one at that. If ya have mates, I'll really recommend you organize them to go to the gym with ya. Having a gym buddy is a great help.
I currently pay a guy to take me to the gym. Mental health and physical fitness coach. He's done wonders for my willingness to get out of the house. Cos if I don't I've fucked up someone else's day.

Take this opportunity to improve your family's future significantly and begin building your family's future.

Open a dialog with him. If he's not open to doing shit. Ask if he knows anyone else that might wanna.

Still even if that's a bust. That shouldn't stop you from putting yourself out there. Going to places on a regular schedule will introduce you to like minded people. You'll bump into other regulars and casually chat to them, and over time make new friends.

No, I know user. I'm lucky to even have one friend I truly enjoy being around. Some people don't even have that. Plus he's a normie with his life pretty well put together and a catholic so yea pretty good dude. be sure tonwarm up sufficiently so you dont tear a muscle. one bad lift and you can be out for months or do permanent damage

Yeah already did minor damage to my shoulder/neck muscle on like my 5th trip to the gym. Thank fuck it's barely noticeable now, hurt like fuck after like 5 mins of doing it. Didn't hurt at all when it happened, couldn't lift my arm for like four days. Wasn't from not being warmed up. But from going to hard after not exercising for years.

Always make sure to the mill for 20 mins before hitting the machines. I should probably do some lighter weights before hand. But right now I'm lifting shit. What should I be doing as a warm up if ya know?

i did the same thing to my pec, it doesnt hurt anymore but if i lift it aggravates it. extremely frustrating so i am focusing on cardio and core at the moment.

for warmups? warm up that specific muscle group with lighter weights as in, warm up sets. i would read starting strength by rippetoe if you are serious about lifting
