It's true that many churches have been compromised, and consist of few people who truly believe in God and wish to obey him. But when you find a good one, the difference is night and day. Having godly anti-sin men around you is priceless. It helps build confidence, hear other ideas on how to make one's life better, and gets you on the same page as God. Without church, one unfortunately tends to stagnate and become indistinguishable from the outside world.
