Doctors, nurses, janitors etc at the hospital need to be paid for their work and just because you pay indirectly doesnt mean they work for free.
You pay via taxation and the cost of medicare gets spread out over alot of people so the cost per capita is less than you would pay if it was set at a market rate which you pay upon recieveing care.

The only reason why healthcare works or better worked well the way it was for european countries was that these countries were white.
White are net payers.
Whites are not eager to milk the system.
Whites behave in the emergency rooms.
If you have all kinds of people that never paid anything into the system and behaving the way they do this system doesnt work.
It works nowhere.
There is some redundancy build into these systems so some 3rd worlders can be dragged through.
At some point however the system collapses.
Costs are rising.
Clinics are hellholes for white doctors and patients.
People simply check out and go private.
