Capitalism Fails Again

Congratz you got cheaper TV's and cell phones at the expense of overpriced housing, food, and healthcare. Such a great system guys.

B-b-b-but just don't have kids, a TV, a computer, or toys for your kids!!!

Ha.
Boomer here....
My mom was divorced, grew up on welfare until I started working at 16. Busted my ass (Worked 35 hours/week and took 21 Semester units, Deans list, honor roll, honor society) to get an engineering degree. Got a professional job, moved to Southern California!
Found out all I could afford rent wise was living in the same apartments as section 8 housing.
Law of supply and demand's a bitch. Could only buy a house by getting one that was a 90 minute commute away.

>housing, food, and healthcare.

These are the areas of greatest government intervention in the economy. But you know that.

Everything that has gotten more expensive in your own chart is because government has subsidized it. Everything that has gotten cheaper in your own chart has been left to the markets to figure. You couldn't even figure that out, you fucking dumb nigger.

>Textbooks
Paper production is bad for the environment, as is transportation. Get an e-reader you pleb.

>College Tuition
Meh. Makes commies.

>Childcare
>Health Care
Overpopulation is a serious global threat.

fpbp, the things at the top all have one weird thing in common, though I admit Im not sure what the deal is with housing

So i can afford a 66 inch tv but not a house to put it in. Makes perfect sense.

State and federal restriction on building new homes due to much environment, and subsidized housing through public welfare.

The best showing by sectors heavily regulated by government is new cars, and even there it's flat.

Fuck, guess we should just give out free shit.

Housing is regulated and is dependent upon infrastructure, which is highly regulated.

The grid is there to create vendor lock in.

The things that are more affordable are made in third world shit holes.

notice how its all shit liberals tried to fix with government that are now over priced

If Nazis actually had brains they would be against the high tuition/textbook costs for College. Kikes are purposefully creating a class divide. Notice how now days you can only get a high paying job with a degree? That's because they need a class of people who will not enter into higher education and will stay low-income/part of the poor class. They want those workers so they can pay them shit wages and get x2 the amount of work in. More elite jews in Uni's means more white's out of Uni.

The US hasn't had capitalism since the 70s. Socialism as been slowly introduced. It is just not in the form of taxes but mandatory fees. The fact that you can get in an accident, have them treat you without your consent, and charge an absurd amount for their service, then apply that debt to your property and steal land that has been in your family for years is defacto socialism.

They use every god damn excuse from debt, to inheritance tax, to interest on loans you cannot get rid of, which they shove down the throat of ever 18 year old.

The US is a socialist oligarchy. Wealth is transferred up, and only up. When the fuck are you Americans claiming pro-capitalism realize you do not live in a capitalist society?

I can chose between 200 electrical providers, 50 mobile providers, and 50 internet providers and I live in the god damn arctic.

That, and massive government intervention in the mortgage market

>not real capitalism

You don't have capitalism, you have monopolies protected by regulations from an oligarch government.

>not real capitalism
This

fuckoff stupid idiot

Most Colleges are public, meaning government subsidized, healthcare is government subsidized, housing is also subsidized for low income and also a federal mortgage program.

Real arguments:
Textbooks shitty monopsonies.
Education funding is subsidized to high fuck and back.
Health/Childcare is a combination of labor and service supply and demand, collective bargaining, red tape, and lack of government regulation (guidance). Especially with regard to pricing there cost of emergencies. See the cost of a heart attack in your state. It's more than likely that it looks like they threw darts. Inelastic demand is a bitch

>be grug
>big nose tribe run pelt trading system
>want cave
>grug do okay work. Get more pelts than crunk and fint
>grug look at how many pelt he must give for cave of own
>so many pelts
>grug must go to bignose to borrow
>big nose own cave grug want buy and tell grit how much pelt they give him to borrow
>grug must pay more back more than borrow over next 30 year to bignose tribe who set cave price and gave fake pelts
>grug face when

It is WAAY beyond that with universities.
Universities are 99% government subsidized when you account for tuition which is just a bigger money grab.
Last lab I worked in was in the US, 1 Professor, 2 Research associates, me 1 postdoc, and 1 graduate student.
We had 9 million in grants for 3 years, university took 5 million of that for overhead, and we produced 3 papers of no real significance.
There are 100s of labs doing this in every University.

I still for the life of me cannot figure out what the Universities are doing with all this fucking tax payer money.

Dude capitalism is based, that's what the establishment told me. I'm such a rebel. Forger about all the poor people, all the filthy stinking rich people, and the shrinking middle class lol. It's da gubmint fault somehow even though they're the only entity elected by us and powerful enough to stop rampant capitalist companies.

>Crops are subsidized specifically to make it cheaper or else our entire agriculture wouldn't be able to compete in the global market, yet it is still too expensive
>Make college fucking tuition free already, and start putting regulations on textbook faggots so that they cannot make you buy a new copy every 1.5 years just for switching some paragraphs around
>Stop foreign investment in the housing market from buying houses then leaving them empty. Also tell the homeowners lobby to go fuck themselves when housing prices plummet.
Capitalism is a failure and you faggot, and you faggots refuse to accept it.

it's the jews you silly goose. you'll find that out soon enough if you keep digging. these rich fat cats that you hate. who are they, really?

>items with the most government intervention got the most expensive

Really activates the almonds.

I'm sure college and textbooks would be a lot cheaper if any chucklefuck couldn't get a federally subsidized student loan or Pell grant.

>products made by Chinese and Koreans are cheap
>things and services made by Americans are expensive
>the most expensive things are things provided by the government and are subsidized

It's always hilarious to me how people LOVE to say how colleges are so enlightened and liberal and yet their textbooks and tuition are sky high and the degrees and education they offer are trash. Even the Ivy Leagues.

>government sticking it's dick in with regulations
>price changes as a result
>HURRR CAPITALISM BAD DUURRRR
Go read an economics book.

Also fpbp

>Crony capitalism fails again
FTFY

Who or what is grit?

Yeah dude if we got rid of regulations so that companies could finely start saving money by dumping arsenic, depleted uranium, and lead into to our water supply it would be so fucking based. Damn gubmint trying to hold companies to reasonable standards.

>Manipulate interest rates below market levels
>only the (((rich and well connected))) get access to those rates

Literally the usury, fractional reserve, and central banking scam

The state of Jow Forums

This is exactly what anti free traders predicted would happen. We import cheap shit but can't afford good things because we've ditched all the good, productive jobs. Autarky now!

Paying (((professors and administrators)))

An incredibly high percentage of professors have this weird heritage!

What's failed is finance capitalism. This is usury gone wild.

Though I'm more amenable to the argument that capitalism necessarily produces degeneracy.

then they try to convince you that you don't even deserve a house but a random nigger from across the world with 5 rapes and 3 murders on his record and can't even read does deserve free everything.
they'll take your house you worked for and give it to the nigger if you miss a few payments from hardship.

Don't forget that refugees get housing assistance and get to skip the wait list that most big cities have.

Yes because I'm sure government bureaucrats in environmental protection agencies know everything there is to know about protecting the environment. No there probably won't be a market for waste disposal/management companies to thrive anymore because of no government regulations right?

You're a special kind of stupid aren't you?
Now go read a book nigger.

Real estate wouldn't even fit on that chart.

>Capitalism failed because I have a degree in art and I have huge debts that I can't pay off because I can't find a paying job

Attached: 1524125035747.png (657x539, 110K)

This

isnt this a clear indicator of overpopulation?

If you had done your research you would have known this to be the case before you had even signed your offer.

so new cars or trucks prices have remained
the same for 20 years???

>What's failed is finance capitalism. This is usury gone wild.
>"It wasn't TRUE capitalism". TRUE capitalism has never been tried!
Fuck off. True communism actually hasn't been tried because by definition communism requires a hypersurplus and non-monetary distribution system, neither of which has ever been successfully and sustainably achieved under any country ruled by a communist PARTY.

But we know quite well how capitalism works now. At its core it is an economic system that drives people to produce as much as possible while consuming as little as possible. That's the profit engine that is essential to Capitalism.
But after industrialization, productivity gets to the point where you can produce absurd amounts of stuff, more than people can reasonably consume, and if you can't export it then you just crash the market as no one buys surplus goods, people lose their jobs, then people don't have money to buy anything. And you can just keep repeating this cycle so long as you can keep coming up with a new computer/internet market every other generation, or can convince people to buy a new version of x every year, but over all it is a shitshow.
Capitalism stopped making sense once a company of a few thousand could produce stuff for millions of people, or robots that could put millions of people out of work. Capitalism in the current year just creates all sorts of absurdities where companies produce tons of shit and then just throw it away, not because people don't want it, but because people don't have money to trade for it.

Yeah it really isn't

Attached: 1525914943945.jpg (487x960, 54K)

Overpopulation of Mexicans and not nearly enough whites, perhaps.

Found the stupid Communist

>College tuition has 10x'd in cost in the past 50 years even after adjusting for inflation

Defend this, capitalists.

>overpopulation

Oh look, a triggered Trumpee is concerned about a thing that is not happening and cannot happen.

Overpopulation is a myth made up by retards.

>STATE universities have got really fucking expensive over the last 50 years

Fuck capitalism?

This is 100% true. I had a 1.9 GPA in highschool, and albeit a 1890 SAT, but every single person who pushed me to go to college is infinitely more retarded than I'll ever be if they sincerely thought I was going to succeed or even want to.

just stay with your mom and play vidyas whiteboys

>overpriced housing, food
Barely. I would rather have a significantly cheaper car and pair of clothes than a slightly cheaper house or burger.

The professors and employees really do not make that much. The professor made about 75K, the RAs made about 45K, I made 35K, the graduate student made 24K.

No dumb fuck. Everything on the list that is made overseas or machine made is cheap. The products and services that are domestic based are expensive

But California has the fifth largest economy thanks to capitalism

>Congratz you got cheaper TV's and cell phones at the expense of overpriced housing, food, and healthcare. Such a great system guys.
Capitalism is Jewish and anti-White.

>Capitalism is a failure and you faggot, and you faggots refuse to accept it.
So is Communism, faggot.

Its almost like federal grants and regulations make things more costly for the American people tax wise while also driving up prices to meet said regulations

I dont know why dont we ask people like Bernie Sanders and his wife?

Markets fluctuate, you retard. There was a point in time when zunes had value, there was also a time when General Electric was a good investment.
Just keep watching the markets.

Because there arent private waste management enterprises...you are so fucjibg stupid you literally thinj the government is the only one capable of taking out the trash.

whats wrong with (((capitalism))), goy?

I fucking miss my Zune :( Loved that thing. I need a charging cable for one but they are hard to find these days.

OP i guess ignores the fact the THE GOVERNMENT controls all aspects of the items in which the prices are increasing rapidly. His solution? Give government total control. Fucking idiot.

FPBP

Capitalism fucking sucks, because of people. Everyone passively invest in institutions, because everyone spends money to buy products. The problem is because most people are fucking morons we end up investing in shit like movies, celebs, sports, youtubers, twitch streamers ect. We don't invest in shit we actually need so police depts, education, fire depts. ect never improve and are trash teir. People are so stupid they cut taxes to nothing and don't invest in these institutions we need...but would rather go on twitch and youtube and give morons 6 figure salaries for producing 10min videos. Fuck capitalism. Fuck people.

This. This post was more meaningful, informative, and enlightening than all the other shitposts in this thread combined. If you were to enter this thread and only had to read one post, you would need to read this one.

>ship manufacturing to 3rd world countries
>charge consumers the same price as always
nope, looks like capitalism is doing just fine

>The fact that you can get in an accident, have them treat you without your consent, and charge an absurd amount for their service ... is defacto socialism.

jesus christ you are one deslusional faggot

While I agree with most of that, capitalism is driven off of consumer spending. In capitalism consumers are pressed to consume as much as possible not as little as possible.

Get a OnePlus 5T. Cheap, killer screen, great storage, great camera. Only thing missing is the HD radio.

Don't bother arguing with lolbertarians.

the state overspends on education and private police and fire departments would insure your home for far cheaper

>Over priced housing
T. Citfag feminist

Everyone with a brain and a job moved away from the Liberal hivemind and has an affordable life

Get fucked

>Fuck capitalism. Fuck people.

Go sit in the corner and have a ‘time out’.

then, get a job and start saving. in a couple of years, go buy a house.

learn how to read a graph before calling anyone a dumb fuck, dumb fuck

>human food is regulated
>doesn't have bits of plastic in it
>dog food isn't regulated
>does have bits of plastic in it
Regulation works.

Consumers don't want dog food with plastic in it any more than they want human food with plastic in it, but companies have been selling them shitty substandard dog food because they could get away with it and so long as only a handful of dogs died and not too many nobody noticed.

Now a bunch of police dogs are dead and the government is going to put in regulation.

Companies cannot be trusted to do the right thing. It's been proven over and over and over again. So fuck 'em. Nationalise the mines and make corporate executives personally liable for company misdeeds. Mandatory actual jail time.

Capitalism works best without capitalists.

Groot's sister.

It's all to common to blame communism from all the deaths and suffering caused by lack of these things, but when it comes to capitalism then suddenly all the blame shifts to the individuals who cannot afford these things.

Maybe because it doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand that fields such as education and healthcare are filled with conflicts of interests. Even so much of those have been privatized more and more causing prices to increase even further.

capitalism =/= free markets, retard.

Capitalism = private ownership of capital. Nothing more. It's in the name. If capitalism and free markets were the same thing why would we have the phrase "free market capitalism"?

Fixed it for you OP. (to help you understand what you’re looking at).

Attached: BE00EBEA-7528-48D9-A8FB-C0DEE97E3A27.jpg (2224x1531, 504K)

But education is cheaper in countries that have even more government intervention than the US.

Your argument doesn't stack up.

The US is just uniquely inept when it comes to public goods. Whether you go the capitalist route or the socialist route the US always fails to handle these things well.

I think it's another unseen casualty of the US political system.

The state never overspends for these institutions they are constantly receiving budget cuts, and the spending on them stays the same which makes investing in them non existent So they never grow or improve. Just compare the movie industry over the past 10 years of advancement to police or fire dpt advancement and you can tell people rather feed into entertainment. They bitch about police officers and yet they get paid a fraction of what a twitch streamer who is mid core popular makes.

>in a couple of years
Average house prices are 400k. Couple of years means 2 years. That means you have to have a salary of at least 200k per year and not spend a single cent. Who has a salary that high? This is how out of touch you are boomer.

>Companies cannot be trusted to do the right thing. It's been proven over and over and over again
Kangaroo fucking nailed it.

have you not seen the walk outs of public school teachers from them getting 30+ kids a class and not getting funding for school supplies. Ya man overspending at its finest.

I think you are the dumb fuck here. You just proved that.

This. Good example too. How much are teachers paid? And they're expected to pay for school supplies out of pocket. You blew that degenerate shill out of the water.

Cars are massively regulated.

>look at my argument that completely ignores population to scale, more taking out than putting in, and non-homogenous societies
Some of our cities have more than several of your countries, we have nearly 50% of our 330mil on some type of gibs program, etc. Smaller homogenous societies can get away with some, and the operating word is some, socialist policies and actions because the people will actively/properly participate to the level needed to make it work. This is an absolute retard’s argument; even though you seem to be riding the fence

Attached: B6A564F2-1AF6-4EAC-83BE-5C894B7025D4.jpg (1024x1007, 86K)

I'm not really interested in your excuses user.

Feel free to add up the entire population of the EU plus Australia and Canada and see if the US still has a larger population if you want. The fact is that the rest of the world can make these policies work and you can't, and it's not because the US is some magic land where the laws of economics no longer apply. It's because the US is shit at government and always has been. Enjoy your next civil war.

We don’t have actual capitalism.

Have you considered other variables such as a decline in crime?

It's irrational to presume that the absolute value of spending staying the same means that the spending is effective.

You're presuming that the prussian model of education is the most optimal in a free market.
