Main gun, optics, countermeasures systems will be damaged or disabled, turret will be jam (with high probability), engine will flame out due lack of oxygen
Haven't seen any, but the guy in the video does mention Tell Shihab.

>ATGM >anti-tank guided missile If you want to call a missile not intended for anti-tank purposes "anti-tank", you're free to do so. I just think it's not very sensible to muddy up language in such a manner, but I don't wish to debate semantics either, for that matter.
Austin Taylor
Do you understand what they are saying? Maybe they hyping up about a next capture of Tell Shihab. I hope I'm wrong tho.
You're being pathetic right now. Sucker up and admit that you're the one who's "clearly ignorant" on the topic of guided missile warheads. >Do you understand what they are saying? Nope
Alexander Hall
But none of that makes it anti-tank. It's still a thermobaric warhead designed to target fortifications and buildings. If it was anti-tank, its focus would be on destroying tanks and other armored vehicles and not on damage to soft targets, especially in confined spaces.
Grayson Lee
Well, given the current "Open Borders" trend, my best guess would be that they thought that what happens in the American southwest will bear the same results anywhere else, lel.
>You're being pathetic right now. >Sucker up and admit that you're the one who's "clearly ignorant" on the topic of guided missile warheads. Are you being facetious?

>Could spend his time repairing the nearby homes (including his own) using compacted dirt, wood, homemade limestone paste, stray bricks, and other cheap substances. >fantasizes about muh sportz and muh capitalism >Doesn’t improve his local community to reach that state Gee
Not really, no. You didn't know of the existance of ATGM platforms with thermobaric warheads and are now deflecting this embarrassing lack of knowledge by turning it into an autistic game of definitions. Sad!
If this is true then the Tell Shihab claim makes more sense. I wonder if these troops are the ones advancing alongside the border or if they are from the Air Base.
> if thermobaric missle than tank get seriously damage or destroyed The thermobaric warhead is not likely to seriously damage or destroy the tank. It will naturally be capable of disabling its optics, sensors, radio, tracks, etc. But it will be recoverable and possibly even repairable by the crew itself. >What's difference? The HEAT/EFP warheads are capable of effectively destroying the tank, not just disabling it it temporarily. The F variants of the missiles are quite simply not designed as an anti-tank weapons, so calling them anti-tank is not sensible. Just like a mortar with a delayed fuse falling on a tank might destroy it, how artillery shells can destroy tanks even with ordinary HE-Frag warheads, they are not anti-tank. The term anti-tank specifically indicates that it is designed to be used against tanks. The thermobaric warheads are not, thus I don't think they should be called AT.
>You didn't know of the existance of ATGM platforms with thermobaric warheads and are now deflecting this embarrassing lack of knowledge by turning it into an autistic game of definitions. Now you're just being childish. The discussion in the earlier thread was specifically on the captured TOWs received from the >F>S>A being used against Israeli tanks. . I don't believe there are BGM-71Hs, or whatever the Toophan equivalents are called in that bunch, or even in Syria as I haven't seen a single one of them used during the conflict. As for the "autistic game of definitions". Wouldn't you agree that accurate terminology that both sides agree on is important for a successful and fluent exchange of ideas? Or are you simply shitposting?
> But it will be recoverable and possibly even repairable by the crew itself Good luck with this

>Air Defense Battalion south(west) of Daraa under army @ArabianaINTEL 5 minutes ago
MAP: #SAA captures strategic Air Defense Battalion/Hill (574M) in western #Daraa city, monitoring fire-control over last supply-line between its western & eastern countrysides.
Looks like surface damage and blown tracks, with one good hole in the tank, but there's also HEAT penetrations by the looks of it, so is it really by the thermobaric missile responsible? Save for the chunk torn off, that's all work either the crew or the brigade repair units can fix. With a HEAT warhead the turret would have been thrown and the tank burned down. Destroyed, instead of disabled.

>The rebel-held districts of Daraa city are now completely besieged, and some militants in Daraa al-Balad have already begun to surrender
I guess it's another East Ghouta. Good enough, that way the SAA can't fuck it up and send hundreds of soldiers to death in urban warfare.
