I make alright money, renting is a nightmare. You can easily end up stuck in the rent cycle never being able to save up for a down payment on a house. Right now it would be cheaper to pay a mortgage than rent, and I do not live in a city. I moved away from the tri state area because housing is stupid, but even out in the country renting is fucking expensive.
