My biggest issue is that accurate temperature recordings only really go back about a hundred years or so, and that's being generous. So all of this very specific recording with the instruments we have nowadays is going to give you tons of information with nothing to compare it to. Anytime someone tries to spit some bullshit about tornadoes increasing/hurricanes being more frequent they are being completely disingenuous. There are no accurate recordings of storm frequencies more than 50 years back or so. It's all being compared to super detailed recordings we have today, but you go back even a hundred years and they're basing it off ice cores and things like that which are not comparable to year by year changes they keep on bringing up.
