Reported rates of autism are increasing, according to a new report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Approximately 1 in 50 of 8 year old kids in 11 diverse communities across the US could be identified as having autism. Historically, rates of ASD in the United States have been highest among white children compared with black or Hispanic children. In 2006, for example, the prevalence of ASD among white children was 30 percent higher than black children, and nearly 70 percent higher than Hispanic children.
This didn’t make a lot of sense, said Wiznitzer. Doctors questioned why the disorder would so disproportionately affect one ethnic group of children.

1. they're pathologizing behavioral patterns that were previously not considered pathological or harmful
2. there's a yet-to-be-identified environmental factor that's causing autism

if the incidence of malaria, schizophrenia, cancer, or any other pathological condition increases abruptly increases in some population, it's not usually written off as diagnostic noise. it's taken seriously and investigated. does it not merit further consideration?

I wrote a paper my junior year in highschool (now 5 years ago) about how as society progresses, it regresses. As our technology grows, we actually end up fighting the course of natural selection. I had a moral dilemma with this when I used to lifeguard at a pool. If you're 15 and you know you can't swim but you decide to jump into 12ft of water anyways, you should die according to natural selection. The gene pool is slowly growing weaker and people with mental illnesses and in general "worse" genes are able to reproduce at alarming rates. Meanwhile, successful people, especially women, are pushed to focus on their careers instead of starting a family. Meanwhile the low income communities of lower intelligence are popping out babies left and right.
We are going to see an increase in mental and physical disabilities and decrease in IQ and work ethic in the population in the coming years unless something changes.

You can have high intelligence and still carry "bad" genes. Prior to the 20th century, most geniuses in the US probably spent their lives on the family farm.
For example, take a professor with a 150 IQ and autism, and stick him in a pre-bronze age village, or even a neolithic hunter-gatherer tribe. There, his high-IQ won't do much for him and his autism would probably lead to him getting killed or abandoned, or at least dying as a kissless virgin. But today, he can at least earn a comfortable living, which makes it possible for him to reproduce and pass his sperg genes to his happa offspring.
