Trump is poison to the GOP and the greatest thing to ever happen to Democrats. Republicans need to distance themselves as far from Trump as possible - white women are leaving the GOP in droves.
Imagine if Trump was intelligent? Instead he's spazzing out about England and Germany while his campaign manager is being called a traitor.
"Democrats are out for blood" wtf does that even mean? House elections are sometimes very local and it could come down to the wire.
Nathan Miller
>"Democrats are out for blood" wtf does that even mean? House elections are sometimes very local and it could come down to the wire.
What does that mean? Ask Roy Moore, Ed Gillespie, Rick Saccone, etc. etc. See the over 40+ seats Democrats have won since Trump. Even the seats the GOP won - Montana, South Carolina, Georgia, Arizona - they did it by the skin of their teeth.
2016 will never happen again. Trump got the same votes in Wisconsin as Romney did but only won because Democrats didn't turn out and many voted third party.
Trump is a disaster. He's not all up there in the brain. Anyone with any intelligence would have dominated.
Dylan Green
Thank you for that witty analysis Shareblue. Isn't it time for your break? Remember, Jesus thinks you're a cunt too.
It depends if you take that data and use Trump as a model for future elections. I remain doubtful that Trump is a new norm for all elections. Moore shows that you need to be Trump specifically to actually run a Trump campaign. I've yet to see anyone copy it successfully.
As it stands, it should be better said that the Democrats are more galvanized than back in 2016. Given that they have been snapped out of their "assurance of a Clinton victory".
The question is how galvanized GOP voters are now. The SCOTUS pick should be one but if the Senate rush through the confirmation, the GOP can't use it to rally their base.
Justin Russell
Clinton - 65,853,514 Trump - 62,984,828
The American people rejected Trump. We will make that known especially in 2018. Ready?
Nicholas Martinez
Roy Moore made a mistake Trump learned not to make - DO THE DEBATES. Moore wouldn't debate Jones, and went to hide a lot. Trump skipped the Iowa debate and lost.
Nicholas Rodriguez
with the 40+, almost all of those are extremely local state elections.
Roy moore was a crazy case and if you look at the stats, had he not been a pedo, that seat would have easily gone red even with the "Blue Wave".
The non trumpers in 2016 still voted in local elections, they just didn't vote for trump. He's proven to be extremely conservatgive so they'll love to vote for him now.
Nathan Gomez
How do you predict the generation shift to change elections? As it stands, it's predicted that Millennials will overtake Baby Boomers in 2019
Lucas Kelly
Democrats picked those 40+ seats up. And even the seats the GOP won, most are just by the skin of their teeth.
Trump's approval ratings are in the dumpster and he's doing nothing to lift them back up. All he does is incite liberals.
Trump is the GOAT President for pissing off liberals, but the WOAT President for draining the swamp or MAGA. To me, it seems like most Trump supporters are content with "liberal tears."

>Trump won this district by 16 points in 2016. Ftfy. Is Harris some GOPe faggot?
Austin Rogers
It's rather obvious that Trump's numbers don't apply to other candidates from the same district given that Trump is considered a separate entity from the GOP for many.
Robert Ortiz
White people are history. u mad?
Chase Diaz
Why do Democrats only ever celebrate about special elections where the guy gets to serve for mere months before the real deal?
Y'all are dumb cunts.
Aiden Cruz
The district has been Republican for LONG before Trump.
Easton Sanders
40 seats in bullshit local elections. The Democrats keeping having extremists win their primaries, which will prevent the blue wave from happening. Primary voters obsessed with identity politics vs. Hey, you may not like some of his policies, but the economy is doing pretty well right?
What are normal Americans going to choose?
Eli Cooper
You live in some alternate fantasy world. Democrats are going to do just fine.
A transgender woman in Virginia destroyed a long term Republican there.
White women are leaving the GOP in DROVES.
People didn't elect Trump for "the economy," the economy would have been fine regardless. We wanted to MAGA and instead all Trump does is incite liberals and pander to Establishment Republicans.
Lucas Diaz
Past, present, a d future history. Day of the Rope soon. U mad?
>blah blah blah yada yada blah blah something polls something something its over yada yada awesome post bro
Ryan Perez
more people this month quit their jobs in search of advancement than any other since 2000. People are comfortable, the economy is showing signs of recovery and at the end of the day thats all that will matter. Democrats have made themselves the "Anti-Trump" party. Thats all they stand for. All the GOP has to do is point to the economy and not stutter and they have this in the bag.
No one gives a shit about your (((polls))) fuck off.
Gabriel Green
If people are so comfortable, why are Republicans losing seats en masse? Why do Republican pollsters have Democrats winning in strong Republican seats?
Why did Rick Saccone lose to a Democrat?
The economy was doing fine under Obama, and would have did fine under Clinton. You're really overestimating the hatred people have of Trump. People HATE Trump.
Nathaniel Nguyen
sitting presidents usually lose the house in their first mid term it's not a big deal if he keeps the senate

Kavanaugh is a pick Bush would have made.
When Democrats gain everything back, we'll just pack the courts. Plus. we may not even need the courts when Texas, Arizona, North Carolina, etc. etc. become blue in the 20s.
Jace King
If you're wondering why Trump gets his ass kicked, this is why.
No one wants to be associated with you guys.
Jace Green
people are leaving both parties not just the Republicans. If people were so happy with the established Democrats then why did they have to rig their primary elections for Hillary? People are fed up with Washington and are voting for "outsiders" Its why Trump was favorable to republicans over JEB and why Bernie garnered so much attention. The real test will be on election day when voters compare the rather extreme left candidates that have been nominated to comparably more moderate republican candidates. You keep talking about polls but I have yet to see a reason for why those same polls were so hilariously incorrect when it came to 2016
Benjamin Johnson
I'll trust the polls as much as I trusted them in 2016 LOL
Owen Rodriguez
>pack the courts FDR was going to try to do this back in the 30's his own party threatened to disown him and block him then, you're actually insane if you think the dems would support such a move now. What would stop the republicans from just one upping the democrats in the next election? >Texas going Blue ever lol get a load of this faggot
>you're actually insane if you think the dems would support such a move now.
They're even MORE likely to do it now.
Texas is only 41% white. Trump only won Texas by 9 points (Hillary won California by 30 points to compare).
Texas will be blue by 2024, 2028 at the latest.
Viva la raza.
Matthew Mitchell
Hillary beat Clinton because the DNC wanted her to win and suppressed the vote. Do a tiny bit of research, the DNC head was forced to resign over it. >weren't incorrect see
Anthony Robinson
Where did they suppress the vote? Bernie couldn't get people who actually voted - that's why he dominated caucuses but got killed in the primaries. Black people wanted nothing to do with him. Same with women.
And about that - that was months before the actual election.
Trump didn't have some amazing turnout. He lost the popular vote by 3 million.
Trump got LESS votes than Romney in Wisconsin. Trump got LESS votes than Bush in Michigan in 2004.
Trump "won" because Democrats didn't turnout in some key areas, or went third party.
He won Michigan 47.5-47.3. By 0.2 points - it's not like he dominated.
Republicans are a dying breed in the USA, supported by boomers. They've won the popular vote just ONCE in the past 7 Presidential elections.

you might be right, however you are underestimating the siege mentality that whites are developing. if you think whites aren’t going to turn out you’re dead wrong. the midterms will maintain the status quo and trump will get anotger term. second generation latinos will drift towards the republicans and blacks will turn out less and less. the demographic landscape will force people groups to turtle up, and whites will turtle hard, and the republicans are the party that will have them.
Joshua White
Hey man, don't underestimate the Democrat's capability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. They did it by nominating Clinton in 2016 and they will do it again by pushing to Abolish ICE this November.
Nathan Rogers
>Kavanaugh is a pick Bush would have made. and there's literally already a negative story out about him splurging so hard on baseball tickets he was up to his neck in credit card debt a lot. All from white house disclosure shit and only like two days post nomination heckuva job whoever was vetting this shit
Sebastian Sullivan
Nope. Trump won the electoral college - Clinton won the people's votes.
The fact is, Republicans can only when with low turnout from Democrats. If Democrats show up, Republicans are done.
Republicans are the past - old white people. Democrats are the future.
3 MILLION more people supported Clinton than Trump. Democrats have won the popular vote past 6 out of 7 elections.
By the way, want me to start quoting what Trump said about the electoral college in 2012? If Trump would have won the popular vote but lost the electoral college, you guys would have declared civil war. Hypocrites.
>the siege mentality that whites are developing. White women are abandoning the GOP in droves. Trump has been a disaster. He should have focused on populism day one - instead all he does is incite liberals on Twitter.
The fact is, Democrats have won the popular vote in 6 of the last 7 elections. The GOP base is dying - it only lives because of low Democrat turnout.
Grayson Bailey
That 3 million you're talking about is primarily from California. It doesn't matter if you win 50% or 85% the net result is the same. Republicans are more spread out and won majority votes more often.
Justin Phillips
lol...everyone in this thread stop replying to this faggot
Nicholas Flores
>The fact is, Democrats have won the popular vote in 6 of the last 7 elections. The GOP base is dying - it only lives because of low Democrat turnout. You have it completely backwards, the fact that Democrats consistently lose while winning the popular vote proves that they only dominate on a regional basis, not a national basis. The fact that Clinton won the popular vote but Trump won the electoral college is a testament to how much a regional party the Democrats are.
Grayson Gray
The Democrats winning the popular vote twice in the past 16 years but losing is BULLSHIT and you know it (see pic related).
Trump got less votes in Wisconsin than Romney. Trump got less votes in Michigan than Clinton.
If Obama could have ran for a third term, he obliterates Trump. And 3 million more is still 3 million more.
Michael Hall
Oops, meant to say "less votes in Michigan than Bush 2004."
Gabriel Bell
>get more votes than the other party >they're regional guise fucking retard also why are people such idiots arguing either side of this when the simple fact is Trump won by small wins in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin? He won them by about 1% or less and without them we'd be saying Madame President.
That's also going to be the main battlegrounds of 2020 barring other states shifting

Way too late for that, you can't just get off this ride at this point. GOP should be helping Trump succeed because if he fails GOP is fucked.
Anthony Ross
>since Trump whats the count since Obama 08 then? have to weigh it against your mega huge number of 40
David Morales
Do you think we're going to see a mass suicide of Democrats when the get stomped in the midterms this year? The pathetic "blue wave" meme seems to be the last strand of hope they're clinging to. I'm concerned with what will happen to their mental states once that last hope of theirs shrivels up.
Luke Miller
You got it backwards You think winning the popular vote but still losing is somehow something to be proud off. No, it's the result of a disorganized party that campaigns in the wrong places
Gabriel Wood
>Democrats didn't turn out and many voted third party. wonder why
Blake Cruz
Why is it so hard to comprehend that winning big in California doesn't meant shit for the rest of the country?
Kayden Scott
>get more votes than the other party >they're regional guise Yes you dumb faggot, what exactly don't you understand? Large cities are REGIONS. If a Democrat gets more votes but the majority of them are concentrated in a single region (aka.a city) that makes them a REGIONAL party.
Fucking shitlib moron.
Easton Reyes
>Nope. Trump won direct quote
Matthew Cruz
whoa, powerful!
David Russell
>rhetoric analogy analogy specious argument ad hominim ad hominin. In you go, to the November cringe folder. Prepare to get a lot of unwanted attention in November. Fun fact: candidates are aware of the paramount need to win the electoral college. If Trump was retarded he would have applied his resources in California and New York to pick up that five percent to win the popular vote. He spent less than half the money per vote than hildawg to win the electoral college. But he's a businessman and applied his resources to win the only thing that matters - the electoral college. Was it hubris for hildawg to waste her resources on the popular vote? Or is she just confused?
Connor Long
You're certainlg convincing me to get out and vote on a election day to shut you anti-American faggots down, but I don't think that's your goal.
Landon Cruz
>He won them by about 1% or less the polls said he would lose them by 10% what is the OP again
Leo Clark
And no one want's to be associated with the hyperbolic emotion spewing babies known as the democrat. Don't worry friend, the Democrats will find a way to lose midterms.
Andrew Jones
why is it so hard to comprehend that the election hinged solely on the midwest and will do so in 2020? you're just as much a retard as the other guy babbling about muh popular vote either way >large cities are regions and? they also often decide a state you fucking moron, or have you not noticed the NY upstate/downstate split for the record this entire regional party bullshit is dumb as hell when you consider both sides get healthy margins in their "losing areas" something I could give a rats ass about? I only came here because it was the most relevant to post my Kavanaugh post blue/red wave stuff is bullshit until august polling, and really october before we have any idea what shit will look like come election day

>the only thing that matters - the electoral college
Popular vote matters because of mandates. We're seeing the GOP get absolutely TRASHED all over the country because Trump isn't popular.
The Democrats picked up a 20 point GOP seat in Pennsylvania FFS.
Mason Hall
Daily reminder: there is no prize for winning a “popular vote.”
Asher Diaz
its nothing to do with Trump and everything to do with lazy conservative constituents, such as all the faggots posting on Jow Forums right now
>I don't like a rule so I'm just gonna ignore it Trump probably still doesn't like the EC but he understands that the only way to win the presidency is through the EC. In the meantime, here's your (and Hillary's) participation trophy. Brock is really wasting his money on you
The GOP has never gotten over 63 million votes in an election. How does the GOP plan to win 2024, 2028, etc. etc. when the GOP has hit a roadblock?
You can only survive the corrupt system for so long. Plus, Trumpers flipped out when some Electors thought about defecting (like that guy from Texas). If the Electors would have voted against Trump would you have been OK with that?
Camden Howard
Part of me wants the blue wave so the civil war starts sooner.
