Well I was assigned male at birth but now identify as female. That’s what makes me a transgender woman. I don’t why I’m like this. Maybe it was genetics or biology. Maybe it was social or environmental. All I know is being transgender is not a choice. Deciding to medically transition from male to female was the choice and it’s the best one I’ve ever made.

Your gender is first and foremost determined by the having or not having a y chromosome in all 6 trillion cells in our bodies. That determines "man" or "woman" and is utterly unchangeable. But sex is also determined by your genitals, with the exceptions of odd birth defects, such as hermaphrodites or other occurrences. These are so rare that they don't form a demographic though, so that isn't an argument.
No doctor can truly change the reproductive makeup of a human due to needing to restructure the entirety of their genetic makeup, such as adding a womb and fallopian tubes to a male or a prostate and testicles to a female, which would completely change the way their organ systems would need to be set up. Which, by the way, begins with the cells.
To actually and fully change the gender of a human you would need to completely start over from the beginning of their cellular makeup. AKA it is fucking impossible.

most trans people are pretty vulnerable. There's good evidence that hormone fluctuation from extreme stress during pregnancy is associated with having a trans child. that hormonal fuckery is also correlated with other things like depression, etc.

It is body dysphoria, which does not equate to body dysmorphia. Dysmorphia is lacking the ability to properly sense how your body actually is, in that moment. It's an overcompensation or over-expansion of our natural regulation over visual stimulation. Dysmorphia, when it matters medically, is specifically weight dysmorphia. Someone suffering from weight dysmorphia will see their body as overly fat, leading to depression and later self-starvation. Including binge-purge cycles.

Dysphoria, however, is a condition in which someone physiologically feels alien in their own flesh. I am not an expert on this, but these people tend to have a certain mental aberration (in the case of transsexuals, a mind more similar to the opposite sex) that clashes with their outward body. Unlike dysmorphs, they're not deluded inherently. Instead, they simply don't feel right (on a daily basis, to clinical levels) with their body. It's also not deluded for them to see themselves as (internally) (fe)male, but it is deluded to refuse that their body is (fe)male.
