reaganomics destroyed the USA. corporate america rose to prominence under his tenure and directly because of his policies. in the 40s-50s-60s-70s the USA was a prosperous land of abundance. the envy of the world. he effectively ended all of that. we went from a nation of proud individuals who could start their own businesses and run them however we pleased, to a nation cucked to corporate overlords.
he was a part of a cabal. it's not a "Republican Vs Democrat" thing. dems play the same game, just using different tactics. Bill Clintons telecommunications act of 1994 is a perfect example of how democrats use their tactics to consolidate corporate power and destroy all competition for their CEO overlords. people who shit on repblicans and pretend dems are somehow better are absolute cancer. but reagan is also not someone who was good or positive for the USA.

the real answer is NOT socialism or even necessarily higher taxes, but rather an end to billion dollar subsidies, unfair tax breaks and loopholes (like amazon not having to pay any taxes at all, despite being maybethe biggest comapny in the world) and an end to crony contracts. unfortunately, we never really hear anyone trying to raise awareness of those issues on either the right or the left. it's a sad situation and until people wake up and drop the stupid partisanship over it it wont be fixed.

if you ended those things properly, then corporate america would effectively dissolve. you don't need to tax the rich out the ass, you just need to make the playing field level for everyone. understand that our system is very much "rigged" right now from the top down. if you're a small business owner you'll always be at a very real and tangible disadvantage (EG 21% corporate tax rate while you still have to pay out your ass).
make a free and fair system, but don't defend the rotten and corrupt policies of POS's like reagan. recognize the problem, call out the problem and fix the problem.
