Depends on what perfection really means. Capitalism is a system that allows information transfer at an individual level and lets the complex system of the economy operate as it should. No one says it will work to the most moral ends in every individual instance but it functions best at the general level, this is a hard fact. Interference in the system from the top down fails due to the inability to control for complexity.

I see the direction of civilization as somewhat apart from capitalism. Our current set up isn't ideal.
