It will happen eventually, but only when Scotland manages to get their economy in better shape and become less dependent on the UK economy.

It was bound to happen whether or not the UK decided to leave the EU. They're already been taking steps towards greater political independence from the UK. Their problem is that they're still fiscally tied to Westminster.

The Scottish government need permission from Westminster to hold another refurendum. It's very unlikely they would agree to hold another one, given the scare they got last time, unless there was clear and massively overwhelming support from the people for another refurendum

If Scotland had an actual protectionist national party I'd be all for their independence as long as they don't desire to re-join the EU as a member state.

Also, I think this depends a lot on what impact Brexit will have on the UK economy.
