Is there a classical liberal movement like Ron Paul vs boomer neoconservatives in the current imploding Democratic Party?
The Republican Party imploded in 2007-2010 and the libertarians were able to push their ideals mainstream, and that pave the way for Trump. The Democrats need a classical liberal to bring the core values back to the middle. Bernie’s movement was not academic and philosophical enough to be a Ron Paul of the Democrats.
but the bernie bros are all Trump supporters now so the only direction for the dems is full commie which is obviously a losing strategy
Kayden Diaz
People voted for Ron Paul because they knew how bad things are. Trump is the cleaner now. There is no equivalent necessary. You either bury your head in the sand, or wake up.
Lucas Anderson
pretty much. the future of the democrats is full on commie insanity. they're going to completely alienate every working and middle class white person in the hopes that there are enough mexican anchor babies, naive young people, and others too stupid to understand why communism will never work in order to get elected.
the next couple of decades will be a very interesting time, unfortunately.
but there has to be an intellectual splinter group from modern day left.
Remember Glenn Greenwald, the progressive dude? He’s pretty academic in his writings back when he worked for Salon before it went full SJW
someone like him could lure the moderate democrats back to the middle of rational thinking
Grayson Jenkins
>someone like him could lure the moderate democrats back to the middle of rational thinking Moderates can't last in today's Democrat Party, they are forbidden by the Obama Coalition. They can have moderates, or they can have minorities. They can't have both.
Nathan Nelson
What needs to happen is for a technocratic libertarian to infiltrate the current Democratic Party and cause a complete fracture from the far left loony toons and commies by having a platform of:
>Free Market oriented and Small Business friendly, Smaller military, more government STEM research projects and public utilities infrastructure upgrades
The left will completely shatter and commies lose their power and base. While the base support merge with independents or join the Republicans.
A libertarian is essentially a saboteur sabotaging the party from within and fighting commies
Adam Kelly
Bernie was so uneducated he had to steal Ron Pauls slogan...
Andrew Sullivan
Yes Republicans had their fallout in 07-14 while the Democrats are having their's now. Once both parties have had their fallouts, the next century of leadership can actually start
Trump is what should have happened in 1991
Jordan Hernandez
Technocrat Libertarian sounds interesting
Joseph Lee
Ron Paul didn't pave way for Trump. The Trump election was evidence that the Republican Party rejected libertarian values.
Andrew Robinson
Ron Paul was pushed on us by leftists to split the vote. Now I'm doing it back. Since Trump is a shoe in register as an independent and vote for the shittiest Dem candidate, like that retard pocohantas.
Jaxson Peterson
>but there has to be an intellectual splinter group from modern day left My guess would be anti-Israel, anti-monopolists. It seems like it's not totally taboo for them to take these positions anymore since the younger candidates are not embracing Israel and even some candidates like Warren actually gave some anti-trust speeches.
Nathaniel Reed
He’s our Goldwater to Reagan the same way as Paul to Trump to be honest.
This. I joined the Republicans back then and help it grew via primary voting and getting winners elected.
I’m going to join the Democrats and fuck up the party from within - Because I know the Republicans are in healthier shape now. It only take a simple post card to change parties lmao and my state will allow me to vote in primaries
Andrew Davis
>Smaller military This.
Even people like Nancy Pelosi were once anti-illegal immigrant and pro-capitalism.
We need more Democrats like Jim Webb
Luis Allen
People who support the democrat party have no interest in liberty. They are nothing but peasant boot lickers hoping the government will redistribute what crumbs the productive class are able to accumulate.
Chase Adams
Republicans didn’t either until they kept getting killed in elections after the Iraq War and Market Crash of 08. Their saving grace was under Obama in 2010 under Tea Party.
Ethan Bell
That's what the intellectual dark web is about, but they're too cautious to do their job.
Jacob Martin
>People who support the democrat party have no interest in liberty.
Republicans don't either. They're peas in a pod.
The "Tea Party" was a fraud. Do you see any of the Tea Party retards coming out to protest Trump's trillion dollar federal budget deficits?
Luis King
no, there's a "democratic socialist" one
the Democratic Socialists of America is the dem version of the tea-party and that spic commie girl is their ted cruz
Elijah Cruz
>Republicans didn’t either those are necon fags like bush and mccain. A majority of republicans jsut vote for republicans because they are afriad if they vote for someone like Ron Paul a democrat would win. President Trump had to force bush lovers to reluctantly vote for liberty (while Trump is no libertarian, he certainly is the most liberty oriented president we have had in a long time).
Kayden Robinson
I see the Democrats spitting into Libertarians and Commies. Any form of “liberal” is dead and has been for years.
Sebastian Anderson
htey'll split between hillary-tier corporatists and democratic socialist retards
Grayson Johnson
>Is there a classical liberal movement like Ron Paul vs boomer neoconservatives in the current imploding Democratic Party?
no. demecrats have antifa
Colton Allen
I would say it is more like full blown communists, and guilty white people who want to take care of their pet niggers and beaners. Democrats have no interest in liberty.
