Is there a classical liberal movement like Ron Paul vs boomer neoconservatives in the current imploding Democratic Party?
The Republican Party imploded in 2007-2010 and the libertarians were able to push their ideals mainstream, and that pave the way for Trump. The Democrats need a classical liberal to bring the core values back to the middle. Bernie’s movement was not academic and philosophical enough to be a Ron Paul of the Democrats.

My guess would be anti-Israel, anti-monopolists. It seems like it's not totally taboo for them to take these positions anymore since the younger candidates are not embracing Israel and even some candidates like Warren actually gave some anti-trust speeches.
