But highly intelligent men can make for very difficult partners. They can be narcissistic, obsessive, rigid and demanding. They may have little time and energy for family and relationships. If you're looking for a supportive and nurturing partner, a highly intelligent, successful man may not be the go.

I realized this as well, but I still wanted a girlfriend to do things with and for companionship. I didn't want to date women with no prospects in life because that means I had to take care of them to live the life I wanted. Been there, done that. I was able to fix this problem by dating a woman that was unable to have kids, was smart and independent, has a decent job, and we each have our own homes. We can hang out as much as we see fit and then we go back to our own places. We don't have to worry about how much each other makes and our independence removed many of the burdens I faced in previous relationships.
