Honduras is an African tier country with one of the highest murder rates in the world. However, Chile has the 2nd lowest murder rate in the Americas and is more developed than most european countries (including Portugal, an Iberian country very similar to Spain). Both countries are genetically equal. The only big difference between them is that Hondurans have Mayan blood, and Mayans were quite more developed before Europeans arrive than Mapuches (chilean natives).
If race and genetics were so important to predict how developed a nation should be, Chile and Honduras should be equally poor and violent.
Also, Honduras is just an example. You can also use Colombia and Brazil (that are more european than Chile).

You didnt disproved my point. The general trend of this list isnt higher european admixture with higher HDI. In the South Cone, the general trend is literally the opposite. Uruguay is the less developed and more european while Chile is the more developed and less european. And in the rest of Latin America, the most developed country is Panama, that is only 25% european, followed by Costa rica, that is 49% european.
Per capita GDP is significantly higher in Uruguay.

After further looking into the HDI methodology it's literally meme-tier. Years of expected schooling is one-third of the score, but this really has insignificant bearing on development beyond a certain rather low threshold. I would say that beyond ~11-15 years of schooling there should be insignificant realized benefit.

Ever been to Costa Rica? It's 90% white and the safest country in central america. Yet it's neighbors; El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, etc are over 90% non-white and they are shitholes. Panama is just a bit better because of the canal built by america. If the canal didn't exist then panama would be just as bad as the rest, save for costa rica.

Absolutely false. Chilean natives lived in harsher climate similar to Europe, necessitating planning for the future. Thus groups there were selected for longer time preference. Honduras being tropical shithole had no such selection, hence low time preference, hence violent criminals. That's just the tip of the iceberg if we really got into it.
Race is real but its a hell of a lot more complicated than European, Amerindian, African.
