Maybe having a kid, but my wife is already not taking care of herself because women are almost universally low effort assholes, so I can't imagine she'll make me happy if we have a child.

The happiest I've been in life so far is building something. Right now I'm helping build a brand new company which will hopefully make me and a few other people a lot of money. The fun isn't in the money or getting the success, it's in the work you put in and the satisfaction that work brings.

I spent most of my Sunday working and I'm basically looking forward to finishing my day job to go back and work on our own thing.

Anyone lost (i have friends like this) they just work doing jobs, they don't have a career and they don't make progression so nothing ever changes for them. It doesn't matter what it is really, as long as there's a career path there and ladder you can climb then go out and do it.

Peterson basically gives similar advice, don't aim for happiness because you'll just get superficial momentary happiness which will go. Instead aim to carry some responsibility, a little bit at a time, build it up until you're seriously competent at something.
